Spero is the kind of family-owned beach-style eatery that you might find in Corfu Town. The menu includes Greek favourites but goes far beyond as well, with a selection from tzatziki, calamari, spanakopita and Greek meatballs to saganaki grilled cheese or confit lamb shoulder. Spero specialises in the highest quality local produce with a perfect splash of Mediterranean flavours.

    The food is always good, but the service is always poor Waited 45 minutes for a steak. No refill of water or anything offered. It's a well known customer service concept that you solve the issue in the moment. A complementary soft drink or bread whilst we were waiting would have meant this review would be much better. It's not like there's a lack of staff, they just seem to be constantly running around. Also they got rid of a lot of menu items. The BBQ plate was good before but obviously got rid of it so you have to pay more for fries or salad with your souvlaki. Overall, don't come if in a rush. Also if you're hungry you'll spend a lot but it'll be nice food

    Very friendly staff, very tasty food, honestly didn't care for the last layout/decor but since the renovations the atmosphere is much better! Will be going again!

    So we turned up on an unexpectedly busy night, and they were understaffed. We got food before we got our predinner drinks. Food is really good, and I expect most nights everything is fine.

    Lovely decor and location. Although the waitress was polite the service was very slow. Then main meals turned up and the waitresses tried putting on table before clearing entrees dirty dishes so there was no room to actually put them down. Crab pasta had such little crab, it was hard to find ... Overall an average experience

    Great Greek style food. We ordered several shared plates for four of us and we enjoyed all of them. Always add the the beetroot salad. It is delicious. Restaurant was busy but there was not a long wait. Staff were friendly and attentive. One of our favourite places to eat on the coast.
