   Never disappoints! Spinasse is still hands down my favorite Northern Italian restaurant. It even surpasses my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Seattle.

   The food was excellent. We shared the beef tongue for an appetizer, two half pastas (well, a pasta and a risotto) for the primi , the pork loin shared for the secondo, and for dessert the stracciatella and the lemon cake. Very attentive staff and pleasant atmosphere. We did come for a birthday (and the host mentioned it when we arrived), but there was no further acknowledgment, which was fine (but the host mentioning it made us think there'd be something like a candle or a glass of bubbly). Overall, a lovely evening.

   Overall Spinasse was great however the prices were a little high. Service was good and I liked the ambience. It seems difficult to get a table (but not impossible). We would come back but be frugal...

   From the moment we were greeted we found the staff to be informative and cordial. we had reservations and there was not wait for table or food. At the same time, we did not feel rushed. the atmosphere is nice, it is an active and small so there is a moderate but acceptable noise level. The pasta dished were recommended by the staff and were very tasty but not extraordinary. The second course, Capunet, was unique and special. We do not usually order dessert, but it was so tempting we did, and it did not disappoint. There is also an extensive wine list of Northern Italian wines and artisan cocktails. Overall, this was a great experience, and we will go back and do highly recommend it!
