Squires Waterfront Restaurant is THE spot for a night out, a special occasion, or a casual hang with mates. Our menus marry unique modern Australian flavours, with inspiration from the legend himself, James Squire. Nestled on the Sydney Harbour, the waterfront views certainly enhance the ambiance of Squire's Waterfront Restaurant.

Bookings are available for the Restaurant. If you have 8 or more guests, a set menu and 10% gratuity apply. For non-exclusive parties of 8+ please enquire through our website. for our Brewhouse and Forecourt areas please contact our events team on 8014 5663

10% surcharge applies on Sundays. 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.
All Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent at all times across the whole venue.

The closest public parking is the Wilson Overseas Passenger Terminal Car Park. Please note that Wilson Parking only operate the car park when a ship is not in port. There are a number of other Wilson and Secure carparks surrounding Circular Quay. Very limited street parking is available.
Public transit
As a main tourist destination in Sydney, buses, trains and ferries all travel to Circular Quay. We're within close walking distance of the Circular Quay Station.

Reserve a table by the window with a view of the Opera House in our main dining room. Unfortunately we cannot reserve tables in the Tower Room in advance. The $25pp fee cannot be used towards food or beverages. We are located next to the overseas passenger terminal and have no control over cruise ship delays. To stay updated, check out the website link https://www.portauthoritynsw.com.au/cruise/cruise-schedule/. If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know 24 hours in advance in order to receive a refund. If you cancel, reduce the size of your party, or change the date of your reservation within 24 hours, the $25pp fee will still apply in addition to our regular cancellation policy. Prices include transaction fees.

Private dining experience like no other, overlooking the Opera House for up to 10 guests. The PDR has a minimum spend of $1,000 to be used on food and beverage. Note that our Captains Plates Set Menu is required for all parties over 8 guests. An optional service charge of 10% will be applied to the final bill and paid on conclusion. We are within the overseas passenger terminal and have no control over cruise ship delays. Schedule: https://www.portauthoritynsw.com.au/cruise/cruise-schedule/ To amended your reservation, please let us know 24hrs in advance for a refund. If you amend/change the date of your reservation within 24hrs the prepaid amount will be applied as a cancellation fee. A nominal processing fee of 1.75% applies

The service could be more attentive by informing the customer about closing time at least 30mins earlier and they able to gauge the time to finish their time in the restaurant.

Fantastic experience on Christmas Eve at Squires. We were very happy witj the table which had incredible views of the Harbour bridge and Opera House.

The terrible experience ruined my Christmas Eve. Here are the three main reasons why I do not recommend this restaurant: 1. Poor food quality: The seafood, such as prawns, was not fresh and fell far below the standard of similar restaurants. If you're looking to enjoy seafood, I recommend choosing another place. Other dishes, like the steak and fries, were merely average. However, since this restaurant is known for its view, we didn’t have particularly high expectations for the food to begin with. 2. Reservation issues: On November 8th, I reserved a window table and paid $25 per person for it—nearly two months in advance—demonstrating how much I valued this dining experience. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, a waitress led us to a table with an obstructed view, making it difficult to fully enjoy the scenery. I noticed several empty window tables on the other side with a much better and unobstructed view, so I asked if we could sit there. The waitress informed me that those tables were already reserved. I don’t understand this—after all, I also paid to reserve a window table at the same price, so why wasn’t I allowed to sit there? If all the other window tables were occupied, I would have gladly accepted being seated at this spot. But those tables were empty, and considering I had paid for the same type of reservation, why couldn’t I suggest sitting there? Were those tables specifically reserved for certain people? What made the situation even more perplexing was that during the meal, we noticed that the tables with the better view were predominantly occupied by white customers, while Asian customers were seated on our side. I don’t believe this was a coincidence. 3. Unprofessional service: It was extremely difficult to get the attention of the waitstaff when we needed service. Even when making eye contact or waving, they would completely ignore us. When they passed by, and I said “hi” or “excuse me,” they acted as though they didn’t hear anything.

Food and the view are perfect. But we wait for the staff come to take order so long until I have to walk to tell him I’m ready to order. But still perfect.

This was our wedding anniversary. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. A bit of noise from the bar downstairs but not intrusive. Cruise ship was delayed and ended up parked outside our window. We were grateful that the restaurant refunded our booking fee. All in all a great night, very happy.

Had to wait 30 mins to be seated, even though we had a reservation. Was ignored most of the night and had to wave people down to get any attention.

Our meal was just okay. I have found service in Australia to be lacking. Generally order is taken and food served without a check back to see if everything meets expectations. I assume this is what happens when tips are already included.

While the food was amazing and left you wanting more so 10 out of 10 to the chef and kitchen staff. The front of house service left a little to be desired. While they were friendly enough, there was no real service apart from when first seated and original drinks arrived. We found ourselves having to chase a waiter for drinks and then to clear the plates after each course. We also have to request a waiter for our dessert. They would have made more money from us had we been provided service as we would have purchased more drinks, sadly we were placed at a table and pretty much left. The ambiance in the room was very noisy. Again we would possibly come back for the food and view if visiting Sydney again. And hope the service was just an off night perhaps.
