Terrible. Just terrible. Where to start... Bad food. Bad service. High prices. This is not the place for you unless you like 1/2 a pound of mustard with your food. Every single dish was bad - that can't be a coincidence. Only 3 mains on the menu yet after we ordered the Skate we were informed they were out of it. The apple crumple was undercooked. The Madelines were over baked. The cocktails were sloppy. The servers were nice but didn't know what they were doing. Avoid.

We had a phenomenal meal at St. John’s. Everything was perfectly paced and so delicious. Dominic was our waiter, and we couldn’t ask for a better host through our meal. Would absolutely recommend, and also come back every time we’re in London. You must get the Madeline’s to go. We finished them before we even got to the tube. Kindest, Maddie & Win

Francesca was amazing! I let her know and want to say that she was helpful not just with our food order but also with navigation and instructions for our next stop. The food was amazing;hats off to the chef! Wonderful experience and lovely getting to taste traditional English cuisine 👍🏼

Everything we heard about St John is true: superlative food (ox tongue, Rarebit, teal, brown crab on toast, buttermilk pudding), attentive service, ambience. A highlight of any visit to London.

I still can’t wrap my head around it, this restaurant was always in my top places to go, I love their bakery and ethos. Yesterday dinner was collection of overpriced tasteless dishes. Beef tongue was lukewarm, horseradish wasn’t tasting of anything and was grated on bigger pie so the flavour wasn’t complimenting the meat. Sliver of the boiled red cabbage was rather sad. Beef cheek salad was slightly better however the abundance of the sauce made the radishes soggy and without any taste. The biggest disappointment was the teal - uncooked, still very raw and attached to the bones, with boiled parsnips around it . In my head this meal would be tender wild beef with meat falling from the bones and full of flavours. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Price was too high for whatever was on the menu.

Warm and inviting place with delicious food options. Small plates were unique and amazing flavors. Pleasant staff!!

Reasonable food but the place is so basic. Smithfield meat market abattoir vibes, but who wants to pay top prices to sit on hard chairs with cheap basic plates, glasses and paper tablecloths? And the restaurant was cold and draughty (at 7pm). The bread and butter pudding was burnt and had no raisins or nutmeg.
