Our 2nd visit, staff are very friendly and helpful but seemed to be initially one or two short, probably because there were a lot of patrons on the outside tables due to the warm evening. Later staffing inside improved. It is good that there are multiple rooms inside, that allowed us to be away from the screaming kids in one room.
We had the Arancini and the Prawn Beignets for entrees. As with the crab cakes on our previous visit they were very good, great flavours, they looked and tasted like they had been freshly made to order. My only criticism is that I would have preferred the prawn meat to have been softer.
For mains we ordered the Wagyu burger and the BBQ Baby back ribs. The burger was very good, crispy bun, and a good size meat patty which was cooked well done as requested. The chips that came with it were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and nicely hot. The ribs came as 2 racks, the first and (fortunately) larger one was, as advertised, juicy meat falling off the bone. The 2nd rack was not so tender and a bit dry, as if they had put it aside earlier in case they needed to make up the quantity on a plate. The creamy mash was served in a pot with rubbery overcooked cheese on top, a simple well flavoured mash on the plate would have been better. The vegetables consisted of a couple of sad looking pieces of broccoli and chunks of carrot, at least the broccoli was cooked, unlike some restaurants who just wave it over the boiling water. They really need to rethink their vegies and use some imagination or inspiration from other restaurants.
We didn't have desserts as we were full.
Overall it is a pleasant place to eat especially as the staff are so friendly. It is probably time to redo the menu though as it hasn't changed since the reopening, while I realize there are staples that cannot be changed, some rotation of the less popular dishes or even a couple of daily specials would be good.
