Starlite is a historic San Francisco cocktail bar with nearly a century of vibrant stories. Renowned for hosting lively parties and attracting iconic figures like Alan Ginsberg, Starlite invites guests to the Beacon Grand’s 21st-floor, featuring refreshed interiors by San Francisco designer Alice Crumeyrolle. The atmosphere is set with rich velvet fabrics and a jewel-tone palette inspired by the Art Deco Era, paying homage to the city’s icons. Crafted by Scott Baird of Trick Dog fame, the cocktails are both playful and meticulously made. Michelin-award-winning chef Johnny Spero curates a menu that celebrates San Francisco’s culinary artistry, drawing inspiration from international fare. Enhancing the experience are nightly, all-vinyl DJ sets by music director Nina Tarr.

Love this place. Hate the service and lackluster vibe. 20% tip already included so don’t expect much speed. Drinks were so slow, that when one came we had to immediately order another second in order for it to be ready in time….yikes.

Experience was good not great. Drinks were fantastic, but the service was lacking. I’d cut the waiters some slack because it was Valentine’s Day, but we were largely ignored which wait staff was chatting amongst themselves

LOUD. the music was very loud. people were practically shouting to talk to each other. and while the view was nice, it was hard not to notice the state of repairs needed on the building. size of drinks for the cost was absurd. and while I could see a 20- to 30-something finding the lure, it was lost upon this one

This place was nice when it opened but has quickly gone downhill. The music was horrible (they blasted bad 80’s), the drinks were mediocre and the bathroom was disgusting. This no longer feels high end.

such a fun time! music had me dancing. drinks were so good and the fries were bomb! i was treated ice cream for my birthday and it was soooo yum. y’all need to come here fr!

The view is spectacular. The drinks are quite good. The appetizers are over-priced, small, and not very interesting. The worst part is the very loud music that you need to yell over. We left our reservation early and headed over to a bar up the hill called Summer Place where there was no view, but the drinks were better and the vibe was friendlier.

Nice setting and service, but music too loud to have a conversation without constant leaning over the seats and tables.
