   For a Michelin star restaurant, the food was very underwhelming. There wasn't a single dish we ordered last night that I'd want to order again.

   This place is a do not miss experience! Grab a bottle of wine and do the dim sum concept offerings that are not on the restaurant menu. Two people per, for the most part. Website has menu with sample options in the first section. Wonderful concept, service and food!

   The service is the prize here at State Bird. My friend has true celiac disease and the care that the servers took to make sure we knew exactly what he could order was wonderful. There were plenty of options and the food was delicious.

   We had a birthday celebration dinner and it was our first time at State Bird Provisions. We absolutely loved the concept of the dim sum cart small plates along with the menu for some of the other items. The food was fresh and the flavor profiles of the dishes were unique. Using Guava for instance in a savory dish was such a clever idea that worked well. Loved the sourdough pancakes with the sauerkraut powder. Several dishes were standouts - loved the sweet potato small plate. The sauces and dips were extraordinary as well. A word about the desserts too - the Cardamom icecream sandwich and the Bao with the black sesame filling were really lovely. I had also requested a signed copy of the cookbook as a gift for the birthday guest - really glad I did - the cookbook is wonderful and inspiring! I am a fermentation enthusiast and can’t wait to make some of the fermentation recipes in the cookbook. These days eating out is such a hit or miss that we were really glad to be delighted by this experience at State Bird Provisions!
