At Steak 48, we serve the finest steaks and high-quality seafood in an intimate and vibrant setting. Our diverse menu will satisfy any personal craving, as we serve the best USDA prime steaks, succulent seafood and shellfish along with inventive and classically inspired side dishes and appetizers. Located in River North, on bustling Wabash Avenue, Steak 48 brings a contemporary atmosphere to Chicago's dining scene. Visitors will be welcomed in the entryway with a view of our 3,000-bottle wine vault and chic decor. These expensive restaurants gotta learn how to cook well done steak. Everyone doesn't want there steak bleeding but I don't want my steak burnt. I cook well done steaks all the time and they are perfection 👌. It seems like they get mad at you for wanting your steak cook all the way so they burn it to death. Long horn makes steak right the first time and guess what I prices are great. Oh and just throw those potatoes things away. Dry asl

Generally a lot to like, starting with excellently prepared steaks, perhaps best I’ve experienced (we had the KC bone-in strip and a regular strip). The steaks come out on searingly hot plates…worked really well, as they were cooked exactly to temperature we selected and stayed very warm on the plate. Starters (bacon and shrimp) were good, as was dessert. Place has a good vibe with high-end service experience. It is very expensive, but you just about get what you pay for.

We ordered the filet,Caesar salad, augratin potatoes, Brussel sprouts and broccoli. The filet was cooked to perfection, served on a 500 degree plate and was delicious. Sides were delicious and enough for 3. Wait staff very attentive. Would not change a thing.

Steak 48 in Chicago made our 15th anniversary an unforgettable evening! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting. Allie and her incredible staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our experience was absolutely perfect. The meal was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the stone crab, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. For our mains, we enjoyed the 45-day dry-aged ribeye and the filet—both cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that showcased their exceptional quality. The king crab legs were a luxurious treat, and the side dishes were just as impressive. The au gratin potatoes were rich and creamy, the creamed corn was perfectly balanced, and every bite was bursting with flavor. We finished with the key lime pie that was the perfect ending to a flawless meal—refreshing, tangy, and just sweet enough. Steak 48 is a true gem in Chicago's dining scene. The service, the food, and the attention to detail made our special night even more memorable. If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this is the place to go!
