The cozy round s[pace nestled into the Hotel Sorrento's lobby hosts live piano on weekends, our famous Silent Reading Parties, and seasonal high teas. Join us for dinner or or brunch! Please note, the Fireside Room becomes 21+ when we turn down the lights and open the bar at 4 o'clock sharp seven days a week.

    I spoke to a floor manager about my dining experience before I left the restaurant. The restaurant was woefully understaffed for the number of guests. I had four different people serving me at random intervals. It took over 2 hours for me to eat a very simple meal. The bar service was extremely slow as my appetizer came long before my cocktail. The manager recognized my concerns and was most apologetic. I told her that I didn't want to have another meal there to make up for this evening's experience. She was well aware that they put a new trainee on the floor this evening as they were short staffed.

    I’ve been here a few times and personally love the food and ambiance usually. But this time we sat down with reservations, ordered drinks and waited for over 20 minutes for drinks that didn’t come so we left.

    Charming, historic restaurant, we went pre show at Town Hall. The service was absolutely amazing. The most friendly, attentive service I’ve had all year.

    The food was just not good. All dishes were under seasoned. Pasta was stuck together (didn’t get stirred), risotto was dry and pretty gross. Cannolis for desert, almost broke the plate trying to cut them. Our server was very friendly, however. Not a place I’d return to, however.

    I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but landed on 3. Brunch was good for the most part. There really was only one issue. The salmon cake Benedict was just not right. In my mind, a Benedict always has a bread component ( English muffin or something). This one didn’t, and to top it off, they advertised asparagus but served broccolini instead. The other 3 dishes were good and I will say someone knows how to make the potatoes, well done to the fry guy. In addition, the fruit cup is really small, but the fruit was ripe, so still not sure if 3 or 4 is appropriate.

    We had a lovely evening. There was live music, which was particularly nice. We were in the Fireside room, which has great ambience.

    Dinner was very good and we did not have to wait long for food or beverages. We had a new server who did a fine job with the exception of trying to remove a plate with food on it prior to checking with the person's whose plate it was. We chalked this up to wanting to be efficient knowing that additional food was on it's way. We would definitely return.
