Overlooking the beautiful Islington Green, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious and inviting atmosphere with a large open-plan dining room and kitchen, a lounge and bar to relax for a cocktail or two, as well as seating outside to watch the world go by.

Serving our signature quality sushi and sticks, along with an extensive drinks menu of cocktails, sake and Japanese teas – there’s something to suit every taste.

Near or far, we can’t wait to welcome the fine people of Islington and our lovely neighbours from Hampstead, Belsize Park, and Highgate.

If you're a parent with young kids (3yrs+), get ready for a chilled family lunchtime experience you’ve probably never had. Every Sunday, 11.30am - 4pm, at our newly opened Sticks ‘n’ Sushi on Upper Street in Islington, The Kids’ Table team is in residence to entertain your little folk with creative fun while you enjoy a long, leisurely lunch of sushi and sticks from the grill. Book a table and request The Kids’ Table, complimentary to all of our dining guests. Minimum age 3yrs and over. Kids menus at Sticks’n’Sushi start from just 10 per bento box, choose either sticks or sushi, or both for 12.

Our new year set menu for one - 'Stick To What You Love' is only available in January 12pm - 6pm. Here, it's all about the sticks from the grill, miso soup and rice - hot and comforting. After all, we're a sushi restaurant even for those who don't like fish. Choose the Sticks Menu for a winter warmer (£19.50) Miso Soup STICKS (x5) -Shake Teriyaki -Tsukune Chilli -Ramu Niku -Shishito Yaki -Momo Nanban Rice (With Crunchy chilli, teriyaki, or chilli dip) OR, Dive into the Sea Menu for a lighter lunch (£19.50) Miso Soup Grilled Edamame Seaweed Salad Rice Paper Shake Rice (With Crunchy chilli, teriyaki, or chilli dip) Available every day throughout January from 12pm-6pm. Have been a regular at Sticks for the past two years trying different branches. Food is amazing as usual but the service here could’ve been better. It was painfully difficult to get the attention of any member of staff even though I came well before closing. Many walking past my table avoiding eye contact. But there was one food runner who was very attentive in the end. This is typically the case when dining alone, hope this will be better.

Food is good if a little formulaic. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink, being ignored. We asked for a substitution on set menu and whilst confirmed they brought food we didn’t eat. The waiters ignored us and a waiter at next section gestured at us that there was no way he was dealing with this - extremely rude and disrespectful. I complained and they reduced the bill. But really. Wait till they sort the service out.

The food was great however the service and ambience were not the best. The music was too loud and it made people talk louder so we left with headaches. Service was also not the best. I went there before and service was much better, this time it seems that the staff were very tired, service was slow (we had to ask for water 3 times).

Service was really poor. Had to ask to order drinks, order food, order more drinks and then we had to ask for the bill twice

I had forgotten how much I love Sticks 'n' Sushi until last night. Loved it again. Great food and great value set menus. I had a really delicious non-alcoholic cocktail too.
