Dear valued guest, we would like to inform you that due to the ongoing refurbishment aimed at enhancing the Stir Restaurant, its location has been temporarily moved to the building adjacent to the hotel. This relocation is part of our commitment to providing you with an improved dining experience. We appreciate your understanding during this transition and encourage you to visit our new location, where our dedicated staff will be delighted to serve you. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you to the revitalized Stir Restaurant soon.

Stir Restaurant is regarded as one of the finest pre-theatre restaurants in Dublin. Located opposite the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, the location deserves a standing ovation. To compliment this convenience, an array of European, seasonally inspired dinner dishes are offered in affordable fixed price and a la carte options. A special children’s menu is also available, keeping the young ones’ tummy happy.

    We can cater for any BBQ come rain or shine at Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane. The grill and bar will be set up under two large marquees with seating placed out in the Whitaker square and the possibility of reserving seats in the back of Stir restaurant to allow for additional seating.

                                                                            Service was poor enough..we asked for ketchup when the burger arrived...dinner was finished and ketchup still hadn't arrived. One servers id tag was hanging into food he was serving

                                                                            I brought my 91 year old mother for dinner here and everything was very accessible for her from the front door of the hotel to the restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were treated really well by all staff, the greeting we received at the restaurant was so friendly and all staff were exceptionally welcoming. The food was amazing, we both had the beer battered fish with chips and it was the nicest we've had to date. Desert was amazing and we left for our trip to the theatre full to the brim. The prices are very reasonable but if I was to have one criticism it would be for the condition of the table. There was several deep scratches on the surface which took from the beautiful decor of the restaurant, condition of the table definitely was not 4 star. Other than that one little hitch everything else was perfect and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

                                                                            Great place for a pre theatre dinner. Lovely food and very friendly helpful staff. Thomas and his team went above and beyond to make it a very special occasion. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you.

                                                                            Overall everything was lovely apart from when we finished our main course. 3 out of the 5 of us ordered a dessert and our dinner plates were never picked up from our table. Once our dessert came, it was placed beside the empty dinner plates and the staff left them there. This was not acceptable. Service was quite slow and this was poor. However every course was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

                                                                            Enjoyed a lovely meal in Stir after a matinee show in the nearby Bord Gais theatre. The food was really good and the service from the restaurant manager and our lovely friendly waitress was excellent.

                                                                            Thomas was out server and he was charming and funny. He made us feel comfortable from the beginning. He also organised an anniversary surprise for our table. The food was exactly what we ordered and cooked beautifully. We were staying at the hotel so it was really convenient to use the restaurant and we weren't disappointed.
