Don't go there for good drinks or just good foods. Go there for great drinks and great foods. I ordered the bone-in ribeye. It was seasoned very well and cooked to a perfection. Award winning spiced watermelon cocktail was one of the best mix.

Not a place for a family Christmas dinner with the loud dj music and club atmosphere. Should have been advertised as such and not a “chill vibe experience”. I had to send my food back twice, it was raw and I couldn’t even cut it and they sent the same piece back like shoe leather and overcooked. Not the quality, experience, or service you expect for the ridiculously high prices you pay. I tried to call the place several times to check on the dj and music levels there, as well as parking and no one answered. The service left much to be desired, our waiter was very rude and arrogant throughout the meal and this was way before I sent anything back.

This was my first time dining here and I'll never go back. I went on Christmas Day at night to take a friend for their birthday and mine (which wasn't acknowledged at all by staff). I spent $386 (with tax and tip) for 2 people for a glass of wine each, two entrees, two sides that we shared and a shared dessert. For that price, I could have gone to a number of outstanding restaurants in San Francisco that FAR surpass STK. The restaurant is basically a night club that serves food (yes, I saw trays of shots going by). There is a DJ booth and loud dance music blasting throughout the entire restaurant. The tables were jammed uncomfortably close, the steak was overcooked and dry, the sides were unremarkable and the wine selection was abysmal. They charge you for every item separately, including $15 for a pat of truffle butter on my steak. The dessert was good, probably because it was outsourced. The coffee was brown water and the waiter removed it from out bill. Host, bar and wait staff were very good. Prices are outrageous and not sure how they are getting away with charging what they do for the quality of food and ambiance, especially in a foodie place like San Francisco with steep competition . The website is very misleading. For this price, I was expecting an upscale elegant evening with outstanding food, and it was far from it.

Not our vibe. Think Vegas with club-like music and volume. Slow service but with a smile.

We went to STK for dinner. It’s a beautiful place. Great location. I’m glad we went. However, all of our food was cold by the time it arrived. Our kids didn’t eat the mac and cheese for the first time ever. Our food server was great, but she had another food server helping her who said something unkind to himself along the lines of blowing us off/losing his patience. Overall, I’m glad we went. I’d give it another try. Our food server was great.

Service was great and the food was good too. It was a little overpriced, but you basically pay for the service, experience, and vibe of the place. We did have an accident where a used fork dropped on our table and hit my partner’s arm because a worker was rushing after cleaning a table, but him and another waiter were very apologetic. Overall, decent food and amazing service!

We came to this restaurant expecting to try their $69 special menu offered Sunday-Thursday. When reservations were confirmed by phone, I asked specifically if the $69 menu would be available, I was told it would be. Tonight when we asked our server about the menu, he checked with management and gave us the bad news that the $69 date menu wasn’t available. Our group of six was more than disappointed. We made the best of our evening and tried multiple items. The food was overpriced and taste was just average. The chicken was the size of a quarter of a game hen. Not worth the price tag of $67. The temperature of our bone-in ribeye steaks were ordered medium rare, but they came medium. The best part of our meal was the truffle fries. The decor was impressive in the main dining room, but they sat us in a small, very plain room with no tablecloths. Our server was not attentive and kept reaching over us or asked us to pass flatware to ourselves. Service needs work. Niku vs STK? Go with Niku.
