Dine at Queensland Parliament House Wednesday, Thursday for lunch & Friday for lunch or dinner in our heritage Strangers' Restaurant*

A quintessential Queensland culinary experience that features Modern Australian dishes, made using the highest quality local ingredients. Select two or three courses from the monthly a la carte menu, or be led by Chef's choice and enjoy the five course tasting menu available.

Please note: Entry is via the Parliamentary Annexe
Dress code: Smart Casual (no singlets or thongs)

    With food in an historical building with white table clothes, crystal glassware and exceptional service, this restaurant cannot receive a higher than exemplary rating from me.

    We are visiting Brisbane from Vancouver BC (Canada) for the first time and finding this restaurant was a real treat. Fabulous food/menu, great service once we were taken to the dining room/bar. (There seemed to be some delay in getting us up to enjoy a cocktail before dinner… ). Our waiter Pablo was fantastic. Very attentive but not intrusive. I had hoped the Moreton Bay bugs were still on the menu as that was one of the key elements for choosing the restaurant but the new menu presented did not disappoint. We did the wine pairing as well. The only wine I felt we could have skipped was the one paired with dessert. My husband and I felt the chocolate dessert was the fave over the Xmas pudding which was part of the 5 course tasting menu chosen. All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant. A real gem!

    Delicious food in a beautiful room. The service was warm and welcoming and we had three young excitable boys with us. The Chef came up with a menu for the boys which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for a lovely evening.

    A delightful dining experience. Very welcoming, professional staff, it’s years since my table was cleaned between courses! The food was good quality and beautifully presented, with local Queensland ingredients. Excellent value and first class quality.
