Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. If more than 6, you can arrange a private Thai tasting menu, including a minimum spend. please contact us via email at eatthai@streettokitchen.org Thai tasting menus can also be made available for smaller parties if confirmed at least one week before via the same email.

    The food and service here at Street to Kitchen is outstanding! The wait staff is very attentive and can answer any and all questions. They know what they're talking about when it comes to heat level. The food is amazing. The meats are melt in your mouth tender and the flavor is sooo good! The portions are perfect. I can't wait to go back!

    We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and the cashew chicken. The pad Thai was good but the shrimp was definitely not great. The cashew chicken was ordered MILD but was so hot that we couldn’t even eat it. The mango sticky rice was too sweet.

    We had a party of six and enjoyed the baller board with some additional sides. Everything was incredible !!! Our service knew everything about the menu and drink suggestions.

    Food is really good but I would keep the spice level to mild. Anything about that too much scotch bonnet and red flakes can make your meal not enjoyable

    Holy spice that was hot! Very well cooked and fresh ingredients- take your dish down a level from normal here unless like crying in public and coughing. Excellent service too!

    Being a vegetarian I was skeptical if the restaurant lives up to the expectations. But oh my my each and every dish were amazing. Even my 5 year old enjoy the food. The spice was wooo out of the world. Just follow the recommendations given by the waiting staff regarding spice. It definitely adds up. Definitely a must visit.

    We are so glad to have returned to STK. It is always an adventure and this time was no exception! The service and attention was great from the moment we walked in the door, including a visit to our table from co- owner Graham who shared interesting insight into our wine selection. The food was amazing, our only regret that as a party of two we could not explore the menu more broadly. Highly recommend, make reservations, bring friend!
