SUD is an intimate 45 seat Italian restaurant situated at 555 Lonsdale St Melbourne. ud provides a wonderful dining experience Monday to Friday lunch and dinner. Whether a la carte, degustation or a ten course banquet. Sud Food & Wine is driven by fine produce. With its roots in southern Italy (SUD Italia) we at Sud pride ourselves on freshness, quality & service. This small upmarket restaurant on King st (between Lonsdale and Little Bourke) not only boasts fantastic seasonal produce, allowing the menu to constantly evolve daily but also an extensively dynamic wine list to compliment any meal, hailing from various regions of Italy as well as carefully sourced local producers.

    SUD frequently caters to a corporate clientele as the quiet, warmly lit ambience promotes a comfortable familiar atmosphere. Available Monday to Friday – ideal for business meetings or private functions, SUD would be happy to cater for any occasion. The wine list has an emphasis on food friendly wines from some interesting, boutique producers around the country and a solid collection of Italian wines and varietals for something a little different. The staff are also happy to suggest some of their favourites among the list to suit the particular dishes ordered.

                                                            Spectacular restaurant! Heavenly food! I was a tiny bit reluctant to go there because of the location but once you walk in the door to this little Italian secret, the outside is forgotten and you are transported to a wonderful experience! Would recommend it for fine dining with fancy food and drink. Go there as a solo person, a group or for a romantic evening. Try it - you will be so glad you did!!

                                                            Always a pleasure to eat here. The staff really make for a great experience. I took a guest from overseas and they really enjoyed the theatre of this restaurant!

                                                            I always love coming to Sud. Vincenzo (spelling) is as authentic as they come and serous seems to love the job there. Loves a chat and isn't pushy in terms of menu. I'm a sucker for the gnocchi and the wine list is extensive.
