   The flavor of all five dishes we tried was wonderful, especially if you love dill. We had a late seating at 9:30 pm, after the CSO performance, and were prepared to order, didn’t ask for anything special, and just felt a little rushed. Most of the food was not very warm. We were also told one dish was not available as they had run out, but saw others being served that dish. Overall we did enjoy the food and would consider coming back. It was a lovely space and we enjoyed the decor and atmosphere.

   We had reservations at 7pm on a Saturday night and were immediately shown to our table. The place is very comfy and cozy with a welcoming, calm vibe. It has comfortable velvet booths and cushiony chairs, which we appreciate very much. Comfortable seating in a restaurant is important to us. The music was at a perfect volume and pleasing. The bathrooms are large and very well appointed. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He could have been a bit more educated on the ingredients of the dishes, as they are not mainstream American fare. We ordered a glass of Austrian Rose and a Flat Red, which is an espresso martini. Both were very good. For starters we ordered the Salat (salad) and the Kartoplya Paprikas (roasted potatoes in paprika). The description of the salad said local greens, but the entire salad was arugula. I like arugula, but a whole salad of it is a lot of peppery greens that overpowered the beets and lovely dressing. I would ask about the lettuces before ordering this. The potatoes are coated in paprika, which we like, but there was something else in the spice mix that we didn't care for (or maybe it was just a lot of authentic paprika that we aren't used to). Our server didn't know, or try to check. The best dish of the night for us was the Halushki. I would order this over and over! We had both of the dumpling dishes and both were really good. The Pelmeni with the salt cod and the divine beurre blanc sauce was full of flavor and comfort on a plate. The dough was a little thicker than expected, but it was still a fantastic dish. The Varenyky was a wonderful version of potato pierogis with sweet onion and a delicious sauce. We really wanted to try a few of the dishes on the large plate menu, but were too full. We will definitely be back to try more. We did, however, take a piece of the Medovik (cake) home. It was so light and airy, and no matter what flavor they make it with seasonally, we will always order this. Can't wait to go back!

   The food and service were fabulous! The music could be a bit softer for conversation. We were at a table for 2 and it would be very difficult to hear anyone else at a larger table.

   This was my second visit to Sudova and my experience was EXCELLENT in all respects each time! My servers each time were wonderful: friendly, helpful, informative and attentive to the right degree (i.e. not annoyingly attentive!) This last visit we were served by Johnna. I LOVE this place and will definitely return!

   Sudova is a superlative addition to the great dining scene downtown. We were warmly greeted for our 6:30 reservaton on a Tuesday night, the narrow space already busy with many full tables. The food harkens to the Ukranian background of the owner with contemporary innovationss. A simple vinaigrette salad with golden beets, arugula, fennel and caraway was a perfect starter before sharing flavorful stuffed cabbage rolls with tomato sauce - yum! Michael was friendly and unpretentious, helping us select a perfect bottle of Slovenian wine to go with our sumptious meal. The short rib stroganoff over polenta was beautifully plated, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The kefir-brined and fried chicken filets with snap peas and dill sauce was a delightfully light mix of texture, color and flavors. Save room for the airy wildflower honey cake - so memorably good. We can't wait to go again and enjoy great cuisine in a comfy setting with absolutely terrific staff.
