We arrived to a half empty restaurant with a totally empty bar 1 hour and 10 minutes early to our reservation time. We were told the would get us in around 30 minutes early. We had 3 in our party. Because one was 18 y/o we could not sit at the empty bar and had to sit a two separate tables in the lobby area to wait. The other option to wait was the mall upstairs across the street. At 6pm we were put off about being seated early as the lobby had filled up with late arrivals to their reservations and walk in. We were told to wait across the street. That might be reasonable if we didn’t have to turn around bd come right back with in 30 minutes. Had they said they would keep our original time, we would have waited across the street. We were seated at a set set table with red food smears filling one third of the surface. After asking twice to have it cleaned-10 minutes apart, a different server wiped the table clean. We ordered 3 entres, half way through I found a tiny grub/worm on my steak. They were gracious in comping our dinner for the grub. They then gave me a choice of replacement food to go and comped our desert, fondu which was good. The food was good, the tables need to be buffed out they are water and food stained and scratched. More searing in the entry for people who can’t stand or sit on hard stools. Better communication from the hostesses. The birthday experience is exciting, but I’m certain I’ve lost a bit of hearing from the concert level volume of the full surprise song. The candy is mostly movie candy. Nothing novel or unique. This was the Chicago location. The traffic was the worst it could possibly be on a Saturday night and I half expected someone to start shooting so much horn was going off among cars. Parking for the restaurant was 30+dollars. Our server was gracious and apologetic, still made our dinner pleasant and we still tipped her well.
