                                                              The food and service in this elegantly rustic restaurant were superb. Our server, Jess, was wonderful and attentive without being intrusive. All the employees were friendly. I highly recommend Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen.

                                                              Our first visit was on New Year’s Eve with friends and it was excellent! The menu lured us to it and we found the food to be really great. Our waiter took good care of us without being obtrusive. We will definitely be back!

                                                              The team was on point last night, Christmas Eve. Everyone’s attitude was positive, happy and cheerful for having to work on a Holiday. The food was AMAZING!! We ordered pork chop and a steak with Brussel sprouts. BEST BS EVER!! Very busy and the food came out in a timely manner, we appreciated everything!! We like the new layout and decor too

                                                              Stopped into sugar bacon for an anniversary brunch with my wife. We used to come here a lot and were so excited to try out our favorites again. Big mistake, HUGE. Our entire order came out wrong and our server did not attempt to fix it. Instead, when we pointed out the issues, he went to the kitchen to “figure it out” and then avoided our table like the plague for the next 15 min. All while I’m waiting on my brunch which finally came after we’d finished eating. No apology was made or accountability taken by the server or owner. Then we were charged extra for potatoes that came as a side to our meal. Frustrated by the experience and lack of care for our special outing, we just paid and left. Outside of the great drinks. I doubt we’ll back.

                                                              I met friends for a Holiday dinner and Sugarbacon was the perfect place. The food was delicious...do not miss out on the deviled eggs. The salads were perfect and large enough to be an entree. The burger is huge...and also great. This has NOTHING to do with the restaurant but parking in downtown McKinney is difficult to find...so arrive early.

                                                              Lobster Benedict was great! Ordered a six dog cheese grits that were perfect. It was my friends birthday and they brought out a bread pudding! Highly recommend!
