Appetizer #1 Ordered the Beef Wellington Bite - The Beef Wellington sauce was SALTY and overpowered the dish. We couldn’t bring ourselves to eat more than one each.
Appetizer #2 Ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. Crab Cake didn’t taste good at all, the crab tasted like it was not properly stored, and was contaminated, we couldn’t bring ourselves to finish it either.
Dinner Plate #1 Ordered the 12oz Filet Mignon with Crab stuffed shrimp and Lemon Beurre Blanc, for dinner plate # 1… the crab had the same bad taste and the shrimp were rubbery and also had the same contaminated taste. Never received the Lemon Beurre Blanc. The steak was cooked to temperature for the most part, but it was under seasoned.
Dinner Plate # 2 ordered 16oz Ribeye with the Gorgonzola Butter. This was prepared correctly and was one of the best things tasted at our table, along with the sourdough bread served hot and with butter.
Dinner Plate # 3 ordered Seared Scallops with the
Zesty Lemon Cream, Basil Oil, Asparagus Risotto. Not to our surprise, the scallops also carried that same contaminated taste, but it wasn’t as strong as the other seafood served at our table. A the plate came with maybe a 1/4 cup of the risotto and 1” asparagus chunk.
Only Side Dish ordered, Lobster White Cheddar and Bacon Au Gratin Potatoes. The lobster spoiled this whole dish. Found NO bacon pieces; and the lobster was not properly peeled so we had shells in our dish as people went to take bites; and again, with the awful contaminated seawater taste.
Ordered two drinks from the bar, a beer on draft and martini. The martini was left untouched after one sip.
The server never asked about our thoughts on the food, but he was also not at the table but maybe a 3 times in total.
We were too scared to attempt dessert after this awful experience, AND I’m a dessert person and will always take one to go if I have no room at the restaurant.
The experience and quality of food is definitely NOT worth what we spent!
