Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib & hand-cut U.S.D.A Prime Steaks, they also offer fresh seafood, cold water lobster tail & succulent shellfish. The 20 oz. Bone-In Rib eye Steak is the Boss’ Favorite while the Double Cut Filet Mignon runs a close second. My wife and I ordered two appetizers and a Caesar salad to start, along with two glasses of Russian River Chardonnay. I should have known when the food came out of the kitchen in less than 5 minutes that zero care or artfulness was put into the effort—I was right. The calamari was thick and over-breaded, the crab cakes absolutely pedestrian, and the Caesar was lacking in all manner. And the wine was warm. How this place received such glorious ratings is beyond me. I feel I wasted my time, money and calories. We left without ordering entrees. Sundance is a Palo Alto landmark and though it’s been several years since I last dined there, I have been going there for decades. Unfortunately the quality has declined and the prices have increased. My ribeye steak was not the highest quality cut and was served medium rare when I asked for rare. I would have sent it back but it was already late and I had already waited 45 minutes for the plate. Sad to say, the tradition has not survived the test of time.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

Good overall experience, with a few surprise missteps that weren't characteristic of previous visits. Food - Chilean Sea Bass was exceptional (a flex for a steakhouse!). Filet was great, sides were good but not distinctive. Butternut squash soup was *inordinately* sweet - more dessert. They were out of prime rib, which was disappointing. Service was slow/inattentive - we had a later reservation, so I would have thought servers would have been more intentional about getting our orders in. It was the opposite - we had to work multiple times to get attention to order. It was frustrating. Wine list - we didn't' partake this time, but I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices for the by the glass offerings. Given the restaurant's category, that was a nice surprise.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

The experience was as expected, which was excellent. Friendly service, good food, good portions, and water with ice. Not only was the meat good, but also the seafood, soup, and salad. More food than we could take in, but for me that is a positive.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

The noise level was excruciating. One day later my ears are still ringing and I have complete laryngitis. The food is basic but well executed. Lost my appetite over the noise level. It was a back-to-the-50s experience without the smoke-filled rooms. I had roast beef with mashed potatoes and a salad. All was good but very old school. Photos of by-gone celebrities who had eaten there (mostly sports figures) papered the walls. There was zero parking available in the tiny lot and we had to park several blocks away. There was 25 minute wait for a table, so others do not share my displeasure. This was a friend’s pick. I will not return.有1人認為這對他/她有幫助
