   Fantastic hidden gem! My husband and I did the Omakase experience as a birthday treat and it was one to remember! What an upscale and flavourful experience! Thanks to the amazing chefs & staff at Sunset Sushi for a night to remember.

   Entering the place is a bit strange as you have to talk to the hostes of Alley Cat. Do not assume the Sushi by the vibe of the Alley Cat restaurant. Sunset has SPECTACULAR quality fish. No need for any other comments. The hostess is perfect. Service is amazing. Small place with maybe 10 seats. Go there 30 minutes before. They have a sexy sitting area in the same room, and just enjoy very good cockteils. When you enter Sunset's room you will be in a different world. The interior is sexy and gorgeous. Great wines and beers. Cocktails are a bit on the sweet side, with Asian influence. Check their collection of knives. The fish and seafod is beyond spectacular. Sometimes a bit simpler. A must go if you are in a 50 miles area.

   My wife & I had our first experience at Sunset Sushi last night. The restaurant and dining room is awkwardly accessed through the Alley Cat, a separate restaurant. Once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere changes to something more expected of an omakase venue. We thoroughly enjoyed most every offering as their incredibly fresh, eastern hemisphere fish and beef were expertly prepared and presented to us by Wilson. Note that I also communicated with Yana, the other omakase chef present last night. Both of them and the rest of the staff were very pleasant. Unique to Sunset Sushi for us is that there is no need to dip anything into soy sauce or anything else. We enjoyed this aspect bid the meal. The only dish that I didn’t particularly enjoy was an appetizer portion of fried white fish chunks. It felt more like I was eating a filler than something that an omakase chef would present. Their omakase experience is slated for 2 hours. As someone who doesn’t enjoy rushing down food, this works best for me. Even at this, for whatever reason, I did feel a bit rushed with a few of the courses. There was no need to be rushed as we were done with their prix fixed offerings after an hour and twenty minutes. After their menu offerings for the night, prior to dessert, we added repeats of their scallop and Ora King salmon courses. Both were again best in class. Dessert was an outstanding sweet potato cream cheese cake. We look forward to our next visit to Sunset Sushi.

    Chef Yana created the most delicious omakase experience I've ever tasted. Each bite was melt in your mouth deliciousness. The first course was scrumptious and each successive bite was just as mouth watering or better than the previous one. The 18 course omakase transported me back to Japan as the flavors danced in my mouth. I highly recommend sunset sushi for their impeccable service, food, and ambiance. Thank you so much for a memorable night and it's one of the highlights of my trip to South Florida. I will tell all my friends to go here for the best sushi ever. #Bellabirthdaywish #Wishcametrue
