Loaded with Old Florida history, The Survey Cafe is a quaint, indoor and outdoor café set in the heart of scenic Downtown Bonita Springs. With a relaxed atmosphere, outstanding food, and good prices, this place is one of our absolute favorites on for breakfast or lunch. Live music on Sunday brunch is an absolute pleasure .
In season dinner are served Tuesday evenings through Saturday evenings and the French flair floats over all the items served . Do not forget to check the menus on the website as they constantly evolve .

We have been to survey Café for both breakfast and dinner and have always found food, service and ambience to be just what you would want in a French bistro. We lbooked a reservation for Saturday night at 6:30 on July 6th via open table. It was accepted and confirmation was asked for prior to dining. The website page also indicated they were serving dinner on Friday and Saturday night. So imagine our surprise when we drove up to the restaurant on Saturday night and it was closed. In calling the restaurant the next day, they apologized. I told him we had driven 30 minutes and that open table and the website needed to be updated. As of today, Tuesday, July 8th, the website still indicates dinner service on Friday and Saturday and I was able to make a reservation for Friday, July 12th. This is such a simple fix and was such an inconvenience. I notice others have made the same observation. I also believe it would have been gracious to extend a discount or some other compensation for their poor communication. I will certainly return because this is a special place but this was a very basic mistake.

a liitle late but a response , sorry . i was away a lot of the summer . i do not know your name and cannot write to you by it . i know that we called and apologized and again it was a stupid a thoughtless mistake . Went expecting a beautiful French dinner and got packaged smoked salmon, no pate, no French onion soup, and the escargots had no flavor. They need to stick to breakfast and lunch. Requested inside seating but they said the a/c was broken so we sat outside at dusk with the bugs. Not pleasant.

This hidden gem in downtown Bonita is just a great place. Outdoor seating with music that was soft and did not interfere with conversations. We were seated promptly and served by a very personable but professional server who balanced prompt professional service without swarming and rushing us at all. Food was excellent, freshly prepared and served very warm. We all had quiches, either chicken or ham and they were probably the best Quiches I have ever had. Restaurant was not packed, but Sunday mornings require early arrival or waits for tables. Highly recommended. Great value

First time to this restaurant and we loved it! So charming. Although too hot right now, plenty of outside seating that will be great when the weather cools a bit. The building was once used as a house. Very eclectic decor that fits the feel of he restaurant. Food (primarily French dishes) was terrific. The crepes were outstanding. The Brie and Lyonnaise salad were great starters. The Beef Bourguinon was excellent… oh, and save room for a dessert crepes- Crepes Suzette was delicious! Looking forward to going for their Sunday brunch (although they also have an extensive breakfast menu), and fresh pastry for purchase. Melissa was a terrific server and the chef is outstanding. What a find!

Some of the best French food we’ve had in FL and anywhere! A truly inspired chef and pastry chef. Quaint surroundings and lovely serving staff. We will return again and again.

Great ambiance sitting outside on a veranda surrounded by pretty foliage. The menu is limited and stresses crepes. I had a mushroom crepe that was sensational.

Went back to Survey. I have to say that the Curry Ginger cassoulet is my favorite dish from all the restaurant’s I ever went to in Southwest Florida
