Fukuzuka is a small sushi restaurant located in the back street of Kagurazaka, Tokyo. Although our restaurant is located in such a quiet area, we are trying the best to provide a relaxing and a high-quality space for you to feel.
"wabi sabi (traditional Japanese beauty)"
The factors that influence the taste of the food are various, but we will prepare sushi and sake by paying attention to"fragrance" and "temperature".
We are appreciated if you can enjoy our place as a space to enjoy food as well as serving dishes, flowers, lighting inside the restaurant designed to resemble a nightly tea ceremony.

    We had an out of this world experience! Every detail was taken care of. The skill and expertise of preparation was wonderful to experience up close and personal . Every part of our food was served exquisitely and tasteful. It was a highlight experience of our trip.

    The overall experience was fine, but unfortunately not memorable—especially given the price. The food was okay, and you can tell there’s care in the preparation, but it wasn’t nearly special enough to justify a bill of nearly ¥90,000 for two people. The restaurant lists the omakase at around ¥30,000 per person, which we expected. However, we received no drink menu or pricing for beverages. We had three glasses of wine and one sake, and were never told the cost. That lack of transparency was surprising, especially at this level of dining. Some of the bites were also overpowered by wasabi, which distracted from the fish. While the presentation and pacing were elegant, the flavors weren’t particularly standout—and didn’t match the premium price point. I’ve had better (and more memorable) sushi experiences in Tokyo at a much more reasonable price. If you’re considering this place for a special occasion, just be mindful that the final cost may be significantly higher than expected and the food may not live up to that level. Due to the lack of price transparency and the average quality of food, this is the first time I am leaving a 1 star review of a restaurant.

    What an amazing sushi experience. It’s everything you won’t find elsewhere. Excellent fish, seafood, wasabi made in front of you, quiet, intimate. The three person staff is amazing. Really nothing bad to say about Fukuzuka.

    We enjoyed our dinner. The chef is very particular about the serving temperatures of his food. It makes you realise that the difference in shari temperature does make the sushi taste different and better. There are also good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The lady staff who was working with the chef at the front was really easy and nice to talk to. Her station was in front of us and it was easy for us to ask her any questions

    The dinner was memorable and magical. The food was exquisite; the best sushi et all. My husband and I have not stopped talking about the dinner. We both felt it a religious experience. Thank you for an amazing memory

    Such a nice omakse. Well spoken English and very nice service! It's wuite expensive but the materials was at the best performance. No regret of visiting. Such a nice and charming place
