   We had many wonderful dishes and pieces of sushi. However, there was inconsistency with some of the sushi pieces as we initially ordered some and then reordered the ones we loved. The second helping proved to be different than the first (and not in a good way). Also, the overall service was just okay. It had been a few years since visiting Sushi Kappo Tamura, and for the overall price/quality/service/atmosphere, I will likely choose another quality sushi restaurant in the future.

   Came here for our anniversary and had a lovely time. They were attentive and responsive. The sushi was amazing.

   Tamura is our favorite sushi restaurant hands down. Always fresh and always good. The sushi plus the regular food is so good and consistent. Highly recommend.

   Nothing short of wonderful! It brought us back to Japan! We would come here regularly if we lived in WA. We came to celebrate our family members’ birthdays in the end of March and they treated them with mochi cake with a red bean paste layered on top and a brûlée cheesecake. I’m not really red bean fan but I’ll take it the way they make it in that shape, form and fashion any day. My recommendations are the seared otoro nigiri, 3 course meal, halibut tempura with matcha salt, and the braised Snake River Farm wagyu skirt steak konabe with maitake mushroom soup. If you order the Bara Chirashi, it not only tastes delicious, but it’s filling. Post fancy dinner McDonald’s ( or insert your fast food guilty pleasure) run is not at all necessary.

   Chef Omakese is not worth the money, at least when seated in the dining room. The sushi was pretty good, but we have had much better around Seattle and this was overpriced. The “premium sake pairing” is just 3 sakes poured at the beginning of the meal. The server did not know when we asked which should be paired with which course. Sub par experience but might be better service for omakese at the sushi counter.
