Sway is an award-winning modern Thai restaurant serving dinner and happy hour, led by Executive Chef Frank Harris.

Named one of Bon Appétit’s “50 Best New Restaurants in America” in 2013, Sway was also most recently voted “Best Happy Hour in Austin” by readers of Austin Monthly as well as “2019 Best Thai Food” by the Austin-American Statesman.

Sway West Lake Hills' location boasts a rooftop bar with skyline views of downtown, courtyard and full bar.

We always have great food and service when we come to Sway. They’re always able to accommodate gluten and dairy food allergies. Service is always wonderful. Love coming here.

Lovely patio, service great, short rib pad Thai was delicious, spring roll pretty good, patio chairs painful if you lack your own padding. One appetizer, one entree, three tap beers: $80 with tip.

Hello Kathy Thanks for the review, we love all feedback. My best tip here is Give us a call with your next reservation and we can get you to the best seat in the house, our upstairs bar with a view of the downtown Austin skyline. It's a little tricky to book, so making a reservation then giving us a call to solidify it is the best way to make sure, and we're happy to help with that. Also, let's get you in a little earlier on a Monday-Friday so we can get you half priced drinks during our 4-6 happy hour! Thanks again!

love this restaurant . The dishes are a bit too spicy! i’ve eaten here 4 times and they should put the red pepper and spices to the side. The service and ambiance are wonderful!!

-poor wine list - nothing we ate was great. Lots more sauce with very little meat. Yuk Oysters and overpriced for what they were - hate sitting with other people and can’t hear yourself talking - hard to see location sign first time - hostess was not warm or inviting and frankly acted clueless Not great selection of food. Need more choices and something’s that aren’t spicy.

Hello Carol, Thank you for the review, we welcome all feedback and love to use it to focus on what could be better. I'm curious, what was missing for you on the wine list? I'd be happy to see what I could get in if it fits our list! As far as the food goes, we can make many of the dishes less spicy, or point you towards the less spicy ones. If you'd like to come back in, we'd love to send you a couple of dishes that are not only delicious, but won't overheat you!
