Sway is an award-winning modern Thai restaurant serving dinner and happy hour, led by Executive Chef Frank Harris.

Just a very average experience and above average prices for Thai food. The jungle curry needs work.

Great atmosphere but a little loud for conversation. Food was just “okay”, not great. The penang short rib curry was so spicy hot that we had to load it with the rice to consume. We all enjoy spicy food, but it was over the top! We started with the crab salad, which was fantastic, crispy pork and shrimp shy mai, too crispy, hard to eat, the calamari which was good but there wasn’t much of it, and the brussel sprouts which were good but nothing special. For our mains we ordered panang short rib curry, the son in law which was the hero, the tiger cry and the chicken fried rice which were pretty average. We finished with carrot cake, which had good flavor, just wished it wasn’t so dry. We dined early but had issues with drink service, just a soda, we ultimately canceled order after not receiving it within a half hour. Maybe we had high expectations, we traveled a hour to meet friends but we likely won’t return.

Amazing! Get the pork dumpling appetizer. It is so good! We sat on the rooftop overlooking downtown. So romantic!

Very pleasant patio. Server was nice, but didn't get too involved, or offer much info, we had to ask for a happy hour menu, etc. Food was delicious. We will return!

Mains were great but appetizers were over cooked and brittle (calamari and dumplings).

Drinks were excellent. Ambience was great. Service was good. Unfortunately the food missed the mark, which was the part we were most looking forward to. Ordered Brussel sprouts and calamari to start. Brussel sprouts were good but the calamari was awful. Over-fried and cold when it hit the table, with way too much red chili flakes. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Tiger Cry steak dishes. Food took 45 minutes to come out. Tiger Cry arrived before Pad Thai. It was cooked well and tasted good but was ice cold as if it had been sitting up waiting to be run to our table for 15 minutes. Pad Thai came a full 10 minutes after that. All kinds of confusion with servers trying to drop other people's drinks and food to our table spot, and drop our drinks to other people. Really missed the mark. It's been open quite a while, so perhaps they were just having a bad night. We live in Dripping Springs so it's off the beaten path for us to go there. We wanted to like the place, but sadly we won't be back.

We were disappointed with our experience at Sway. The other party at our shared table was obnoxious, at one point their fork flew in the air and landed in my lap. The service was slow and absent. The food was good.

Hello Rebecca. I'm sorry your experience wasn't ideal. We're always happy to talk to disruptive guests and move other parties if those guests are too disruptive. If you ever come in with 2 people, I suggest our upstairs bar. Give us a call, even ask for me and we'll get you the best seat in the house which is a bit more isolated. I typically have a really quick and attentive service experience at away and just felt like the kitchen and the staff was overwhelmed and understaffed compared to previous experiences
