Join us for afternoon tea at Sweet Marie’s in historic Wickford Village! Nestled behind Main St is our cozy cottage where tea is served Thursday through Sunday at 12pm and 2pm. Our prix fixe menu includes bottomless tea, four sandwiches, three petit fours, and two scones. Celebrate with friends and family over a cup of tea and perhaps a mocktail, cocktail, or a glass of bubbles!

    Such a cute place for tea, the only issue was that I was highly allergic to the space and could not stop sneezing so we hurried to leave. I’m only allergic to mold and dust mites per allergy testing, and there was quite a strong air freshener scent so I wonder if there is a mold problem in the space. They’re moving spaces soon, so hopefully it’s a moot point.

    This was the cutest cottage and tea experience. We came in to Newport for a holiday trip and came across Sweet Marie’s as a fun idea. We lucked out in getting reservations. Hope we can visit again and experience at the new location!

    The tea and food was wonderful and service pleasant. But the chairs were very uncomfortable and the seating felt slated due to uneven floor. Also our table was right in the middle of the room and very crowded and unpleasant. Maybe new location will be better but did not really enjoy the tea because of this.

    Lovely little place, fun to go for a special occasion. The staff are friendly & service is good. It's a cute little place - I hope the new (bigger) space they are moving to is just a quaint!

    Our high tea service was wonderful! Lindsay, the owner, and her team were so attentive and kind! The food was delicious and the tea itself was steeped to perfection.

    The tea and food were fantastic! We also loves the aesthetic of the place. My only critique would be that the hostess is also a server, and the kitchen is in the back so if you have questions or need to check out you are kind of left waiting for a few minutes for someone to emerge. A minor detail as everything else was great! The chicken salad sandwich was a favorite in our group, as was the savory scone and lemon curd cupcake. The raspberry coffe cake macarons were also excellent!
