Experience award winning fine dining in one of four well appointed dining rooms or in the casual atmosphere of our Tavern Room or Patio all housed in our historic, 200-year-old, wool mill turned restaurant and hotel. From our award-winning hospitality and wine list to our seasonal a’ la carte menu and option for prix fixe dining, enjoy the best regional cuisine and romantic getaway in the heart of South Central Pennsylvania. Top rated Open Table Diner's Choice for 7 years running. Our chef-owner Brandon Hufnagel is a Culinary Institute of America alumni and has spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry.
Built in 1837 and beautifully restored, Table 1837 features dining areas adorned by linen draped tables, rough hewn beams, original stone and brick work, a spring-fed fountain, wine cellar dining, outdoor patio, a bar and lounge areas.
A scenic drive, 15 minutes from York-PA, 40 minutes from Baltimore-MD or Harrisburg-PA, 50 min from Gettysburg-PA or Lancaster-PA.

    The brunch was excellent, plenty of choices for everyone. As always the service was impeccable, Wanda was very attentive. Brandon was there to greet and seat us adding that personal touch. We would strongly recommend the Sunday brunch.

    Sunday brunch…. Omelette station was very good, ham sliced was good but barely warm, biscuits were dry with sausage gravy, short ribs were excellent, scalloped potatoes were fine, found one shrimp in the shrimp and grits pan. Soup was very good. Nice selection of fruit and salads. Desserts were dry and disappointing. Service was excellent as staff showed us the buffet with descriptions which was really nice. Champagne brunch with some plastic plates….. really?

    The brunch was amazing. Many selections for our party of six. There was something for everyone. Our server Wanda was very attentive to us. Strongly recommend the Sunday brunch.
