Table Bar is a wine bar, restaurant, and retail bottle shop in Gardiner, Maine. We serve a locally-sourced, seasonal menu of bar snacks, shared plates, and entrées prepared in place by our resident chef, Jimmy Leftis. The abundance of small farms and fresh seafood in the area inspire Leftis, who honed his skills at Andrew Tarlow’s Diner in Brooklyn and beside Ben Jackson at Drifter’s Wife and Magnus on Water. Our menu changes slightly each week and offers tributes to the classic, simple fare of European cafés and wine bars.
We focus primarily on traditionally made wines, produced using a low-intervention, time-honored approach that highlights the natural features of the grapes, land, and culture behind them. We also carry beer, sake, and cider from our favorite producers from near and far.
Cozy wine bar/shop that has recently added dinner service. Table Bar, in downtown Gardiner, has a warm neighborhood feel. The menu is small, but tasty, with snacks, small plates, and a couple entrées that change based on the season and what’s locally available. All good - and the owner is hands on and quite knowledgeable about his large selection of wines. Recommend!
