Tamayo is a true expression of Chef Richard Sandoval’s deep-rooted love for authentic Mexican cuisine, inspired by his abeula and shaped by his childhood in Mexico City. Since 2001, Tamayo has acted as both as a geographical cornerstone of Larimer Square, but also a metaphorical one for Chef Richard. With its history and legacy, Tamayo stands alone, but also acts as a creative incubator for new techniques and campaigns that have reached the world in Chef Sandoval’s locations. We love Denver, and are happy to help support what modern Mexican food means here, as we have for nearly 25 years.

                                                                      Great food and perfect portion sizes. Our waitress was excellent. It wasn’t too loud! This lunch was for a casual business meeting and it was perfect for the purpose. I’d come here again outside of business because it was so good. Also a shout out to the restaurant for offering grown-up and thoughtful non alcoholic cocktails!

                                                                      Wow, what a great experience we had. Our server Louise was helpful and friendly. Our coin style margaritas were excellent, as was the mushroom queso. We did not make it up to the rooftop deck on this visit, but we will certainly do so when we return. The manager was very friendly when seating us and the decor and vibe are great. The noise level was just right, and not too loud. We will be back!
