Celebration Cakes Are Available! If you are celebrating a special occasion, we have two sizes of “Celebration Packages”, which include a cake and a small gift. Small cakes are suitable for parties up to five and large cakes are suitable for parties of six or more. The prices are $22.00 and $26.00. If you wish to order, please let us know which size in the “add special request” box in the reservation form. For birthdays, we will personalize the cake plate if you provide the name of the birthday person.

                                                                    The restaurant was hot. Air conditioning was not cold enough. There was not enough room to walk between tables. The cook was okay but he tried his best. Food could have used more salt but that just a personal preference.

Please accept our most sincere apologies for the temperature in the dining room. One of our two A/C units was running only at 50% due to a sudden and unexpected maintenance issue, but our HVAC specialist was able to resolve the issue the following day. We reviewed your guest questionnaire and was delighted to see that your party dined with us previously, and checked off all "Excellent" ratings for the Food Quality, Service, and Overall Experience. Regardless, it saddens us any time our guests are dissatisfied for any reason.                                                                     We had our second meal at Tanaka of Tokyo to celebrate the birth of our baby and my mother’s visit to Hawaii. It was an incredibly satisfying experience, and the chef’s performance was so much fun. Once our baby is a little older, we will definitely visit again. It was a joy to spend such a wonderful evening with my family at Tanaka of Tokyo after such a long time. Thank you.

                                                                    The service and chef Rory was fantastic! Food was fantastic and Rory was very entertaining. The attentiveness was amazing! My daughter had a wonderful birthday experience! When we left all of the staff bowed and thanked us for coming.

                                                                    Booked it to take the family, some from Japan and Los Angeles. Everyone had a great time, and the service was excellent. The "show" was great, and the wait staff was very polite and attentive. I think they initially confused me with a previous guest with the same name, but I told them I had never been there before. Even my guests from Japan and LA enjoyed it very much. Would highly recommend and will definitely go again.

                                                                    Poke was very tough a little for price. Very noisy chefs back to back. Ordered medium rare steak but got medium. Amount of food was little.

                                                                    I’m on vacation but wanted to eat a an hibachi grill where they cook in front of you. The hotel recommended this place. I’ve gone to a high class hibachi grill for years and had high expectations at this place and was NOT disappointed at all!!! Hard time finding the restaurant because I’m from out of town but I called hostess desk twice to tell them to hold my spot which they did. If I had the time and the chance to go to this one again I would in a heartbeat!!
