TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge offers a distinctive culinary experience in the most dramatic setting Mohegan Sun has to offer. Guests can choose from a selection of Asian-inspired specialties, focusing on Chinese, Japanese and Thai techniques and ingredients; including signature dishes like the Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Wontons, Peking Duck, Crispy Snapper in “Sand,” and Tuna Sashimi Pringle. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge’s beverage program pairs perfectly with approachable craft cocktails and extensive sake offerings. The new restaurant at Mohegan Sun is located off the Sky Tower Hotel Lobby and features several notable elements that Guests have come to expect from the iconic brand, including a 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring the main dining room.

We ate here for Xmas. Everything was amazing from the music choices, the ambiance and especially the food. The spicy tuna app, the crab egg drop soup and the sea bass satay were our favorites. Can’t wait to come back!

Dined on Christmas Day. The staff were cheerful, professional and efficient. We ordered the miso fish, ribs, chicken lollipops, orange chicken and bok choy. Food was delicious.

Horrible experience. Food took over an hr to be serviced. When we received it, everything was cold and overcooked. Bartender was attentive to the issues, but management was little help, offering to buy us a round of drinks next time we are in. We will not be back!

Our food overall was very good, drink was very well made. Our server Tiffany was outstanding. It was really nice to go into somewhere that you’re paying the prices you’re paying there, and followed with very good service. It’s hard to come by these days so it was a breath of fresh air to have that. Everyone who we had from Tiffany to anyone clearing plates along the way was professional and nice. We appreciated that!

Unfortunately our main meal was served cold. The waitress never came back to ask how our meal was.

We had hot and sour soup ! My favorite spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice !! So delicious and very very fresh ! My husband had the soy sushi roll which is his favorite ! We ordered the temple salad without water chestnuts ! It was served with the water chestnuts ! We sent it back and it came back again with water chestnuts ! Our server felt very bad about that ! We are pretty easy going so we didn’t mind at all ! For dessert we shared molten chocolate cake which was the best I ever had along with the ice cream and sorbet ! We had a wonderful meal and also enjoyed the selection of music !!
