TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge offers a distinctive culinary experience in the most dramatic setting Mohegan Sun has to offer. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge’s beverage program pairs perfectly with approachable craft cocktails and extensive sake offerings. The new restaurant at Mohegan Sun is located off the Sky Tower Hotel Lobby and features several notable elements that Guests have come to expect from the iconic brand, including a 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring the main dining room.

The presentation of the food is first class. I’m not an adventurous eater but I always find something on the menu that I like. Today I tried the filet mignon with marrow and the crisp lobster roll. The filet was done perfectly and the lobster with avocado was a taste combo I would never think to pair, but was outstanding! DJ got a little rowdy on us. The music was better suited to a dance club. Great tunes but too loud to allow dinner conversation. Service was perfection and I think we had a total of 5 waiters buzzing about like bees refilling the water glasses, asking how the meal was, etc. Just now I realize that it is a similar feeling that I get on cruises in the main dining hall. You’ve got one guy seating you, another guy getting you bread and water, another one taking drink orders, etc. Very attentive but not intrusive. The prices are high, as one would expect from a fine dining establishment, but probably worth it, based on the quality of the food and the visible effort that had to have gone into it. I would consider this restaurant any time I was celebrating something special.

The food at Tao is always good... the service is usually fair... this time, the service was terrible. We got a server that just didn't know how to manage her tables.

The music that the DJ was playing was at times too loud to have a conversation. The food, as always, was fantastic — we got the Peking duck and Hong Kong noodles. I also ordered the smoking dragon drink which was excellent. We felt the service was OK, it could have been that they were understaffed because it was busy.

We ate here for Xmas. Everything was amazing from the music choices, the ambiance and especially the food. The spicy tuna app, the crab egg drop soup and the sea bass satay were our favorites. Can’t wait to come back!

Dined on Christmas Day. The staff were cheerful, professional and efficient. We ordered the miso fish, ribs, chicken lollipops, orange chicken and bok choy. Food was delicious.

Horrible experience. Food took over an hr to be serviced. When we received it, everything was cold and overcooked. Bartender was attentive to the issues, but management was little help, offering to buy us a round of drinks next time we are in. We will not be back!
