A 16-foot Buddha, which floats above a reflecting pool filled with Japanese carp, presides over the scene at Tao. A favorite destination for celebrities and athletes, this Pan Asian restaurant specializes in authentic Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Tao has three levels of dining including the prized "Skybox" which offers views of this former movie theater unparalleled in New York. In addition to its 300 seats, Tao includes a sushi bar, lounge and two bars at which to enjoy the food and the show. Appetizers range from $8 - $18; Entrees: $16 -$39. Offering $31.50 Prix Fixe Lunch Menu year round.

    This place is very nice! I order the same thing every time and every time I do come, the food gets better haha. I usually go to Tao downtown (it’s much closer), it’s the same except I feel downtown is bigger (spacious). The music was a bit too loud, barely could hear my company.

    Came here on v day and it was really good! We got honey glazed salmon and orange chicken with white rice and it was really delicious! We also had some drinks tao tini and lynchee martini and it was good as well wasn’t too strong of a drink. Our waitress was super sweet! Overall loved the experience

    Tao never disappoints. The ambiance is great but the food, presentation and attentive service are even better. My teens noted that the music was ‘pretty dope’ too. The giant fortune cookie is/was a must - and amazing.

    Had a lovely first experience at TAO. They have a beautiful lounge you can wait in and get drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant is dim, intimate, and elegant. Drinks were delicious and good size for price. My partner and I got a special that included an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Both price and portions were very reasonable. The food was excellent. Service was very quick. Our waiter would only look at and communicate to my boyfriend, which was a bit odd. However, he was kind and helpful. Will definitely come back.
