We did the All You Can Eat Crab Legs special on Sunday, 8/18/24, and it was very disappointing. We got there at 6pm, and the restaurant was maybe half full. But it was still a solid 30 minutes before our cocktails made it to the table. Not a great start, but hey, things happen, no biggie.
Then our salads were delivered right afterwards, but mine was missing the dressing, and the server didn’t come back by the table to check on us again for maybe 10-15 minutes, until after the entrees came, so my dressing-less salad just sat there until then.
To the restaurant’s credit, the first entree plates were piled HIGH with crab, 4 clusters each just to start with, and the boil seasoning was quite tasty - Buttery, lemony, and well seasoned. But unfortunately the crab was served barely lukewarm. Like they had boiled or steamed them and them left to sit for about 8-10 minutes before being served to us. Which made it less appetizing and also a bigger PIA to crack them out of their shells (it’s much easier to do when they’re hot).
Then when the first re-order came, the “knuckles” of one of those clusters was literally still a frozen block. That doesn’t bode well for food safety, so that had to be returned. The replacement order to those did come out quickly and piping hot, which was great, but then accompanying corn on the cob was refrigerator-cold.
So yeah, the whole experience was just this unfortunate string of mishaps than were the very definition of “if it’s not one thing, it’s the other.” And it bums me out because I was really excited to have an All You Can Eat Crab legs place in Charlotte! But this just isn’t worth it, and it’s really too bad!
