Chef Mark Tarbell immediately elevated fine dining in Phoenix when he opened his "Neighborhood Restaurant for the Nation", Tarbell's. Chef Mark firmly believes that the Tarbell's staff are the stars. Mark has won five Emmy Award’s as the host of AZ PBS’s “Plate and Pour” and “Check, Please! Arizona” and is a two time inductee into The Arizona Hall of Culinary Fame as Outstanding Chef and Media Master. Mark's adventures include Tarbell’s Restaurant, Wine Bar (Tavern), The Wine Store, Tarbell’s Catering, Tarbell’s The Goods at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4, The Tavern at Terminal 3 and The Bond- Cultivate and The Vault.

Food was good. Average to smallish sized portions which is fine with me. Excellent service and atmosphere. I had the Scottish salmon, which to me didn’t have much flavor. Wife had the sea bass which was excellent. Must try the Penicillin drink! Excellent.

The other evening, we celebrated a birthday at Tarbell’s, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for a special night. The food was outstanding. My wife had the mussels, and she said they were some of the best she had had since our seaside dining experiences in Normandy—fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. I opted for the bolognese, which was fantastic: rich, hearty, and beautifully balanced. Every bite reminded me of why Tarbell’s has such a great reputation. The cocktails were equally impressive. I enjoyed a Manhattan that was expertly crafted, and one of our guests couldn’t stop raving about their Old Fashioned—a true testament to the skill of the bar staff. From start to finish, Tarbell’s delivered an exceptional dining experience. Whether celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an excellent meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. We’ll certainly be returning!

It was a perfect evening to celebrate a special couple on their engagement. The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Bravo to the entire team!

Always consistently fantastic. The food and service are some of the best in the valley. I recommend the chicken or ribbon pasta. These are classic Tarbell’s dishes. Enjoy

This was my first time dining at Tarbell’s and I have to say it was the best experience. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, bubbly. They knew the menu, including the bartenders. Best part as I was leaving, I’m given a little wrapped brownie a tiny present. Thanks for the great hospitality ❤️😊 I’ll be returning.

Food was very good. definitely recommend the chick peas-they were so delicious. also the seafood chowder, which was rich with fish. the lobster salad was also very good. the service was outstanding. Hostess and waitstaff were pleasant upbeat and ready with knowledge about the menu in assisting the decision making process. The outdoor seating was lovely and there were ample heaters. We will definitely go back to try more dishes on the menu!
