Comfortably located next to Tarbell's, The Wine Bar (Tavern) follows in its footsteps with good food, good drink, and good people. Iron Chef winner Mark Tarbell helms this new-american venture, serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of bar food. Connected with Mark's third venue, The Wine Store, The Wine Bar has the unique addition of a "Walk In Wine List", where retail wines can be selected from the store and enjoyed at the Wine Bar with your meal.

    Excellent food as usual, and the manager remembered a less than stellar evening we had several weeks ago and gave us some special treatment on this occasion. Great value for the quality of service and food.

    Tarbell's Tavern is the casual "cousin" to Tarbell's white tablecloth top-tier restaurant. Alas, the management of the Tavern has learned too much about pricing from its higher series relative. $21 for a hamburger? Sounds like a number from next door than from a more casual eatery. We might back.

    Tarbells Tavern is again open for lunch! Barbacoa street tacos and green chile pork: both were packed with flavor and had generous portion sizes for lunch. A nicely aged 2010 Barolo provided a perfect wine pairing. Waiter Jimmy was polite, engaging, professional, and friendly.
