Since 2022, Tartuca has been a quintessential Pacific Northwest restaurant, contextualizing its hyper-local, farm-direct produce through an Italian lens on the active strip of Mississippi Avenue in North Portland.                                                                         I took my family for my aunt’s 80th birthday. We had an assortment of lighter dishes and all were excellent. We loved the meatball, the burrata, the sablefish but particularly the new spring campanelle with fava beans and peas. So delicious! Tartuca is my regular neighborhood haunt so it’s always fun when I can introduce friends and family to it as well. Love the cozy new(ly redecorated) digs on the back patio!

                                                                        Excellent food, good portions and knowledgeable servers who take pride in their jobs. Parking is tough on N Mississippi but this experience is worth it.

                                                                        We went here with friend who had been to Tartuca previously and enjoyed it. It did not disappoint. The homemade focaccia was delicious, as was the burrata salad. The beet cappelletti was extraordinary. I definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

                                                                        Michael, our wait guy gave us just the right balance of attention and privacy. He was knowledgeable and very helpful in wine selection, and food selection. And when the food came, everything was perfection. We had focaccia with burrata cheese, crisp, spring green salad with an awesome dressing, the Bolognese pasta and lamb meatballs, all of which were fantastic. At an earlier visit, we had Osso Buco, which was over the top my highest recommendation to this fine dining establishment that hits all the right notes without being pretentious.
