This reservation allows for dining within the following time frames of: 1-2 guests up to 2 hours 3-4 guests up to 2 hours and 30 minutes If you are more than 15 minutes late to your reservation, we reserve the right to adjust your reservation time or dining time frame if necessary. For reservations larger than 10 guests, please contact our reservations team at reservations@tavernettadenver.com or by calling 720-605-1889.

Happy Hour is from 3-6 PM *Please note the dinner menu is available at 5 pm for happy hour reservations, as long as the allotted dining time frame is honored (2 hours for parties of up to 4 people). Food was excellent in most regards though a few things were not outstanding. NY Strip was a bit tough, the cook was perfect but noticeably oversalted (and we like a well-seasoned steak). Service was in some ways very good and attentive but the food came out in a rush after we were told authoritatively if nicely that the restaurant likes to get the whole order in at once (anything else we can do for the restaurant’s convenience?). We obliged. The result was that the focaccia and primi came out in quick succession while we were barely getting into our first cocktail. No sooner had we finished the primi when the secondi came right after. The whole service took about 45 minutes which was crazy. The server and floor mgr did notice the “timing issue” and briefly apologized but still made it our problem to deal with. So, do we enjoy the cocktail while the food sits and gets cold or slurp down our drink so it doesn’t clash with the food? They should have 86’d the primi which should have been held back for at least 10 more minutes, and let us breathe and have our cocktails. That would have been professional. It’s awkward to have to confront the staff about it and neg on the vibe. We probably would go back but would possibly be forced to push back on the service, which is an unpleasant thing to deal with when we just want, I don’t know, maybe 75 or 90 minutes to enjoy a fine meal and perhaps 2 or 3 minutes between courses. Still 4 out of 5 stars. Food was the star.

We were really excited to eat at Tavernetta but were disappointed in multiple ways. The ambiance is very nice with a fire place in the bar area and the train station just out the window. However, when we are paying that high of a price for food, we expect it to be top notch and it just wasn't. When we asked our server which dishes he recommended the most, he recommended the duck breast "hands down". Three of us ordered it and all of us were underwhelmed. It was tough to cut and lacked flavor, so much so that we asked for some salt. The server also kept rearranging our water glasses and silverware on the table which was odd and annoying. He might have been trying to make space in the middle of the very small table for appetizers, but it happened multiple times and started to feel intrusive. This is also a restaurant where you can't order your appetizer first and then peruse the main dishes - you have to order everything at once. We really dislike this practice as it feels rigid and lacks customers being at the center of the experience. Tavernetta is too pretentious for us. Once was enough.

Freddy the waiter was amazing! Their gluten free options are super accommodating and delicious. Definitely get the whole chicken it’s unbelievable how good it is.

We have got to Tavernetta many times in the past and felt like it was the perfect spot to take my husband for his 50th birthday. The hostess was so rude, the server was deeply neglectful even forgetting entire dishes so we had to keep asking for our food. They cleared our first course rapidly and we sat with an empty table for about 20 minutes. Despite putting the birthday note into Open Table so as to not embarrass my husband with bringing it up, when we walked in, they completely ignored that aspect of our celebration. Others around us got happy birthdays etc and we were again neglected. I cannot express enough my disappointment in the entire multi-hundred dollar evening and how this has changed my view of Tavernetta overall. Open Table should be frustrated as well since our experience notes went ignored.

We do not enjoy the way the bar area is currently being handled. I understand the need to keep the proper ambiance but at the same time the current standards are not adding to the experience. That said our food and wine was delicious (as always) and our server was wonderful. We love Tavernetta for all our special occasions we were just dissapointed that it was so difficult to secure seating at the bar. And the way we were directed to only interact with the hostess did not make us feel welcome or valued as patrons. Perhaps there is another way.

The five star review starts and ends with our server Ross. He was fantastic from start to finish. All of his recommendations were a hit. He made a celebration all the more special. Thank you, Tavernetta but most importantly, Ross.
