This spring, The Bastion Collection brings together two of its restaurants and beloved Houston chefs to collaborate on a dinner series across the Riviera. Join us at Tavola on Thursday, March 13 as Executive Chef Felipe Botero of Michelin-starred Le Jardinier-MFAH joins forces with Chef Michael Lara, who trained under Chef Felipe before establishing himself as Chef de Cuisine of Tavola, an upscale Italian eatery in Post Oak.
The collaboration continues on Tuesday, April 15 at Le Jardinier – as Chef Michael returns to his culinary roots. Discover both chefs’ expertise through a culinary showcase honoring Michael and Felipe’s reunion in the kitchen and the power of continued mentorship – a theme that consistently shines in all of The Bastion Collection’s restaurants.
For the first time, experience a two-part guest chef dinner inspired by the Riviera with a 4-course menu ($175 person). Merging Mediterranean flavors from France to Italy, the menu features citrus cured Ora King salmon, fettuccine filled with sorrentina pear tomatoes, shellfish ravioli, acqua pazza, tea spiced duck a l’orange – and for dessert: a tiramisu and mini butterfly.
Serving up authentic Italian cuisine, Tavola explores the various regions of Italy in a high-energy, ultra glamorous atmosphere within the Post Oak social scene. Rooted in the refined elegance of French culinary technique, Le Jardinier at the Museum of Fine Arts celebrates seasonality with dishes that encapsulate the land’s rich offerings on every plate, reflecting and paying tribute to the rhythm of nature.
Experience the good life with “La Belle Vita” at Tavola on March 13 ($175 person) and at Le Jardinier ($185 person) on April 15 – reservations are available on OpenTable
