The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. We've sympathetically restored these two rooms to highlight their original features, whilst adding our own modern vintage twist - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ornate plaster ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose. It really is an incredible setting for delicious dining.

Our award winning chef Glenn Roach who has previously held 3 AA rosettes and now already earned 1 AA rosette with his take on home cooking looks to recrate classic dishes and lets the locally sourced produce speak for it self

    Lovely place to eat. However, the lighting was so dim that we couldn't see to read the menu! Added to that was that the evening standard menu appeared to be the same as the lunch menu, only far more restricted and much more expensive which was disconcerting. Very pleasant servers and very pretty surroundings. Tasty food.

    We had a lovely lunch today, 6 Nov, at the Taypark Hotel, Dundee. The food was very good and the waiting staff very helpful and proficient.

    Went to the Tay Park Hotel for breakfast (Itison Brunch Deal). The food was high quality and delicious. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. Amazing value for money. We would highly recommend!

    The nicest two course lunch we have had in a long time. Service was very good., without being intrusive. As this was a gift for my wife to celebrate her birthday, she was very surprised to receive a plate containing sweet meats with Happy Birthday written in chocolate! Unfortunately I am unable to post a photo of birthday wishes.

    Nice old Hotel, good parking within the grounds. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The Drawing room /Dining room was cosy and has some period features. We had the two course menu and chose the slow cooked shin of beef pie, It was excellent, it was served on a wooden platter with pots of mash, marrowbone gravy and buttered vegetables. The portions were generous and everything was delicious, all followed by the cheese board, again good portions and a selection of fruit, cheese, chutney and oatcakes. Great value on an itison voucher.

    We love the decor and location at Tay Park. It’s artistically creative in every corner. Being close to the town centre one wouldn’t expect so much greenery as the grounds have a country feel. It is also possible to see the River Tay from the Hotel. The staff are very welcoming and the seating area of the bar is comfortable. We are in the drawing room and enjoyed the lunch menu. The Shin of Beef Pie with its accompaniments was delicious and very filling. It’s definitely a restaurant worth returning to again and again.
