Established in 2017, Téatro Bar & Restaurant is the sister business to the nationally recognised Barn Theatre, located nextdoor to Ingleside Hotel in Cirencester

We pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience; offering quality, sourced produce formed into exquisite menus, alongside carefully crafted drinks, all served by our wonderful front of house staff.

Our stylishly designed restaurant and famous outdoor area, The Firepit, sit either side of our relaxing bar where live piano fills the air. Teatro is the ideal venue for any occasion; a birthday, pre theatre dinner, or a drink with friends.

    Fantastic food in a wonderful setting, lovely bar for the live music on weekends, plenty of tables & space that it doesnt feel overly crowded. fully recommend as part of a stay in Cirencester

    The service was first class; the staff good natured and efficient. Our starters too were very good, although the prawns were maybe slightly over-dressed. The pork chop was good and tender, the pulled lamb a bit chewy. For us elderly folk, the helpings were beyond our capacity to finish what was on our plates. There was a very noisy, cheerful party adjacent to our table, which made conversation difficult at times. The meal was very expensive at nearly £40 for two courses and it is the cost that will put us coming back again, even if we are then going to see a show at the Barn.

    Have been there before and food was good but sadly not now. Starters were nice (we had prawns, Padron peppers, beef cheek croquettes and baked Camembert) - but nothing special, and were quite pricey at£8-£15 each. Also the baked Camembert was barely cooked but acceptable. Main Course - we had the Burgers and the Lamb Shoulder. The burgers were just Ok. But for £20 was expecting something amazing, and these definitely weren’t, so disappointed. The Lamb however was terrible. £25 for a small ramekin bowl of shredded lamb of which 50% (both portions) was just a huge lump of fat - plus half a hand torn supermarket flatbread, with a bit of red onion and few rocket leaves. Extremely underwhelming to say the least We complained about the lamb and were given two glasses of wine “to say sorrow”. We were watching a show at the Barn Theatre and time was tight so accepted their ‘compensation offer” of two glasses of wine because we needed to head into the theatre. However, after reflecting, the food was so substandard for such a price tag that we really should have as a minimum demanded a full refund for the lamb dishes, and a 50% refund for the burgers and Camembert. Sadly definitely not rush back again !!

    A little disappointed with our experience here. Chicken was a bit dry and menu was pretentious and overpriced. Staff were unwilling to swap choice of sides. Came away still hungry. Wouldn't rush back

    We both chose the shoulder of lamb expecting a piece of meat but had instead a pot of shredded unrecognisable matter! Not what we were expecting sadly.

    We were there for a pre-performance supper. After a glitch at the beginning when the receptionist seemed unable to find the booking, the service was smooth, and we were finished in plenty of time. My main difficulty was that many of the dishes contained chilli or were described as "spicy", which is not my taste. My husband's starter was also described as "goat's cheese with toast and apple" or something like that - it was a thick slice of toast with slices of apple and some dots of goat's cheese.
