Welcome to Tempranillo Restaurant, where internationally acclaimed Chef Javier Gonzalez-Bringas, along with his partner and wife Laura, offer a daily menu of drinks, tapas, dinner and lunch. Gonzalez-Bringas, a Madrid Native, combines an old-world style with a new-world flair in his signature cuisine. The name Tempranillo, itself, pays homage to one of Spain's premier grape varieties, and true to its name the restaurant features a selection of over 100 hand-chosen wines. The atmosphere at Tempranillo is notable for its rich colors, dual fireplaces, and community gathering table-all reflecting the equally rich depth of flavors and influences which are at the heart of the restaurant's origins. "Our desire is to create a brilliantly charming place in the community where people can gather and enjoy the dance with exists between the flavors of Spain and Italy"

Tempranillo offers on and off site catering for parties of 10 to 250. We customize all catering menus and formats for each client. On site catering includes lunch parties for 10, dinner parties for 20 at our community table, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the patio or in the garden and formal dinners for up to 100 in the dining room. <br />Tempranillo currently caters all of the food for the Spain tent at the Aspen Food and Wine Festival which requires providing food for up to 5,000 people per day.

Private parking for Tempranillo restaurant is located on the south side of the building, next to Alpine Bank. There is also parking directly in front of the restaurant and street parking adjacent.

RFTA bus stop from Aspen, Snowmass and Glenwood Springs is located less than 1 block from Tempranillo Restaurant. From the bus stop, follow Midland ave 1 block and Tempranillo Restaurant will be on the right hand side in the big yellow building.

Great service and food. Mahi mahi and the seafood paella were delicious. I enjoyed the martinis and our 2 sons enjoyed the pistacho ice cream. :-)

I flew in from Phoenix AZ for the holidays at the very last minute. I was worried about what would be open in this beautiful mountain town having several friends meeting from steamboat and Grand Junction. NONE and none of us were disappointed with ANYTHING. From the bottle of wine too the family style entrees we shared. The ambience was amazing and so was the walk back to the townhouse. 5 stars all the way.

Very unhappy to find a 3% credit card fee attached to my bill. It was never mentioned .

We noted on our reservation that we had a birthday then called to adjust the reservation and mentioned the birthday and no one made any effort to celebrate the birthday!! We ordered 3 desserts ( not looking for a freebie) but a candle would have been easy enough...0The server was short with us, not hospitable at all, bragged that he had been a server for 30plus years and yet was one of the worse severs, sloppy, not attentive at all.. could not explain menu items and did not know the liquor brands they have. The server that brought out the food seemed miserable and beyond unfriendly. It was very uncomfortable...We have had great experiences in the past however this was not one of them luckily we were in a good company. Everyone has off nights and maybe this was one of them for their staff.

I always go to Tempranillo for special occasions and it never disappoints. We had a wonderful time. Friendly staff and amazing food as always.

We were passing through Basalt for one night only and thought tapas would be an interesting and light dinner and that’s exactly what we got! Our Four dishes ( garlic shrimp, bacon-wrapped dates, grilled asparagus and calamari) were well seasoned, well prepared, came in a timely manner. Delightful server named Alex. Lovely outdoor space. We’ll go back next time we’re passing through:)
