Tequila Val's is a new Mexican restaurant in East Dundee, Illinois. The restaurant is located in the former Anvil Club building, which has been completely renovated. First timers. We were a party of 8. Alex our server was excellent. Very upbeat, personable and attentive. Table side guacamole was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection. Spicy margaritas were delish. Plenty of seating. Big change to the Anvil Club decor - which we expected. Only recommendation I would make is to dim the overall lighting. It was a little too bright and sterile. We look forward to returning.

I really enjoyed our meal at Tequila Val's. I feel the ingredients are very fresh in their entrees, sauces and especially the tableside quac, is awesome! We went for an early dinner on Friday at 430pm, and we were seated right next to another filled table. I wish they would have spread us out and left an empty table in between. A very large group came in for Friday Happy Hour after work, who were quite loud at the bar area. Had we been seated farther from the bar, may have been better for our table conversation, as we would not have had to compete with others conversation. Overall our experience was very enjoyable and we will be back.

al pastor is the measure, and Val's is delicious. the tableside guacamole is fantastic.

Food is outstanding. It is so fresh. The side table guac is delicious. Steak fajitas cooked to perfection and came out hot off the grille. Others had enchiladas spiced just right.

We felt welcomed the minute we walked in! Our waitress Lucy was a delight! We will request her when we go back again. The food was delicious and truly authentic Mexican food! Can’t wait to go back again and soon!!!

We had dinner on the patio; service was prompt and any requests were quickly addressed. The food was a little more expensive than expected; limited menu but food was good. The waitress didn’t seem to have her footing yet and wasn’t able to answer some of our questions. We would return to try other menu items.

Very noisy with the fresh guacamole being made for tables all around us, which added to the noise level of other customers. The majority of steak in the steak fajitas was too tough to.Chew. Poor quality of meat. Fresh guacamole overpriced. Prefer a tomato salsa with the chips rather than the 3 options provided. Not sure I can talk my husband into a return visit.
