We invite you to enjoy a ride in the Gingerbread Express, an elevator that travels up to the restaurant, Terrace 16, decked in everyone’s favorite holiday indulgences – gingerbread, candy canes, and a variety of sweet treats. Between mixing and baking in the kitchen, our Executive Pastry Chef, Keaton Vasek and his amazing team takes over 450 hours to create this holiday staple at the hotel! 466 pounds of all-purpose flour, 105 pounds of dark sugar and 98 pounds of butter. You may conclude your ride by visiting our Gingerbread pop-up shop or having a holiday cocktail or three at Terrace16! We look forward to welcoming you!

A wonderful experience! The decor was beautiful, creating a perfect ambiance. While the brunch menu was slightly overpriced, the quality of the food was decent. The service was quite good, and we really appreciated their flexibility in accommodating us when we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation. We would dine here again for a special occasion.

Overrated restaurant. Nice view of the city. Menu with not many options, and with items that they ran out of them for the day. My table was dirty and the chairs had multiple stains and a nasty appearance. Also, we reported a sewer smell in our area, and nobody offered to move our party to another table. Asked for a raspberry sorbet, and got a blackberry ice cream. My daughter is allergic to dairy products and had a small reaction to the “sorbet”. Also ordered an apple cider cheesecake, and got a plain cheesecake with blackberries. No apple cider taste at all. Need to pay more attention to the products they sell and more knowledge of what are offering to the customers.

The appetizer selection was impressive. My wife and I shared oysters and the bone marrow. Both were very good. The house cocktail list was tasty. I had the Fame in Chicago. My wife had the spicy lobster pasta dish that was outstanding. For dessert, we split the apple, butterscotch, carmel, and creme brule. Overall, great food and service with an amazing view of the Chicago river.
