It all began on February 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville, Indiana. Kent's goal was to own not just a family restaurant and not just a steak restaurant, but a place where everyone, of all ages, could come and have a great meal and great fun for a great price.

We like to brag about our Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, and Fresh-Baked Bread. Everything we do goes into making our hearty meals stand out. We handcraft almost everything we serve. We provide larger portions so you get more food for your dollar. And if you want an Ice Cold Beer or Legendary Margarita to wash it all down — well, we have those, too.

At Texas Roadhouse our team has an incredible sense of pride in everything we do. Our passion ensures you have a Legendary Experience every time. Because of our passion for our guests and our communities, our team members are involved outside the restaurants in their local communities as a way to give back.

We came to Texas Roadhouse at SM Clark and the steaks were tender and cooked as per individual request. We were under the impression that the steaks came with 2 free sides but alas we were charged for each tiny little portions of fries, vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steaks were delicious but the sides were disappointing not only in quantity but also in flavor. Very overpriced! The only reasonable price was the red wine. Our server Morena was fabulous and very accommodating.

Good service - upon arrival, we were escorted right away to our table. They didn’t ask for a lot of info about the reservation, just my name. Nice staffs and very accommodating. The manager even asked us how’s the service and food - making sure all is good. Will come back again :)

The service was really great even though it was a full house. The servers are very accommodating to all our requests. I really appreciate the manager coming to our table to ask about our meal. I love the bread roll and cinnamon butter, and of course their signature peanuts. We ordered the steak and ribs. The steak was a bit tough even though we asked for a medium rare doneness to it. The ribs were really delicious. We also ordered the herb-crusted chicken which wasn't so great. It was quite dry and flavorless inside.

The service was disappointingly slow. After we ordered dessert, our waitress disappeared, and we had to ask multiple staff members for more bread—yet no one brought it. The only saving grace was that they provided takeout bread at the end. Typically, we add a tip on top of the service charge when the service is good, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. The food itself was also underwhelming, which only added to our disappointment. Given this experience, we’ll be trying a different restaurant next time.

Better than the one at Camp Humphreys which isn't really saying much. But pretty darn good Ribeye and fish. I've lived in Texarkana, TX next to an original Roadhouse so I'm hard to impress.

My husband still wants to eat and order because the food is delicious, the problem is that it's hot in our place, there is no air conditioning, the electric fan on the other table can only focus

Everything was excellent! The supervisor or manager on duty was particularly attentive to customers, and the staff and waiters provided great service. However, as someone who prefers a quieter dining atmosphere, I found the place a bit noisy because it was jampacked, not to mention the waiting customers in line outside. Of course, that’s to be expected when it’s so popular.
