Dear Team, Dining experience at the following restaurant: The Allegory, 1A Principal Place, Worship Street, London, EC2A 2FA Unfortunately, our meals were quite poor and we were unimpressed with the food. My partners chicken skewers were lukewarm and stale - as if they had been sat out for a while or had been reheated. My starter, the vegan taco, was unbearably spicy and I couldn’t have actually enjoyed any food after it. I am not sure if it was meant to be so spicy? My main dish, the vegan curry, was also lukewarm and as such I didn’t eat it. I had one mouthful but was too embarrassed to leave all of the food and so requested it to be boxed up to take away. Once I left the restaurant, I was still hungry and also felt that £42.75 was actually a high price to pay for food that we did not at all enjoy. I have heard great things about your establishment and so feel that perhaps this experience is to be put down to ‘one of those days’. We were really disappointed in our dining experience and I thought it important to give this feedback and also wondered if I could be reimbursed in any way? Went with a group of 3 of us for friday lunch. it wasn't busy at all but the service was very slow unfortunately, had to chase for a drinks order. the food standard overall is good, we got a mix of starters to share between us. But unfortunately the beef tacos we ordered were very dry and we couldn't eat them, so they did deduct this from the bill in the end which was good.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

Service was great, unfortunately the food was extremely dry and bland (ribs and sausage rolls). The Allegory has a lively lunch vibe with a menu to suit all tastes, disciplines and allergies. The service is attentive and the wine list is solid. Plenty of choice. Food was below expectations like the fish finger sandwich not having much fish in it at all. They also tried to mix and match ingedients which did not work. I was visiting London from the U.S. and my group has SUCH a fun time grabbing dinner at The Allegory. Surprisingly very quiet for a Saturday evening.. apparently the place is busier Thursday and Friday when there are office types in the area working....only a couple of other tables filled with people.. so the atmosphere wasn’t really there.. lighting at the table while eating became a little too dark.The Allegory已於2019年9月18日回覆Thank you for sending your feedback. We came here for my 40th birthday on the Saturday. We were given one of the large booths which was perfect for the size of my party. The staff were great, being attentive but allowing us to enjoy every course and round of drinks. The food and cocktails were excellent and the band were really good too. We were lucky to arrive before the rush so had an exceptional personalised experience in that sense. Would still come back during a busier time due to the service and experience we had.
