Helmed by Chef Scott Conant, The Americano is an Italian steakhouse that is modern in approach and Italian in spirit. Located in the recently renovated InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, the restaurant features an elevated-yet-approachable menu that serves every taste – from fine steaks and house-made pasta to organic salads, Italian antipasti and Mediterranean seafood.     Was very excited to try this spot for a birthday/holiday dinner, but it disappointed. It has all the makes of an incredible dining experience but felt short especially in service. There was no host to greet us on arrival, the manager waited for the host to seat us and then she just offered us to wait at the bar - weird considering we specifically asked to be seated as we were carrying presents and coats. The hostess came off as if it was an inconvenience for us to be there. Actual server was rarely around, drinks were too sweet even after providing this feedback, entrees came out at different times for our party and steak was overcooked. Dining room furniture was beat up and chipped. Elevated menu and look that has so much potential but is poorly executed.

    For the amount of money I spent, Service was extremely slow. Both bar and server. Everyone was extremely nice/pleasant, just also extremely slow. $52 filet came to the table “mushy” twice. Not a good way to celebrate start wife’s birthday off.

    3 out of of 4 meals were superb 1 slightly over cooked steak. Little noisy but was a Saturday night so … the service was spectacular. I would go back.

    My wife and I wanted to try this place as she’s a big fan of Chopped. We got there early, sat at the bar and had a drink. Lovely ambience, well weathered bar top and friendly bartenders. Enjoyed it! Next we were seated by the windows looking out on the beautifully lit Peachtree St in the mostly empty, yet gorgeously appointed dining room. It was early -6:30 pm- on a Thursday which maybe explains the empty room. The servers were incredibly helpful, nice and knowledgeable. We both ordered steaks preceded by the shrimp and calamari appetizer and a shared wedge salad. The friendly (and large) doorman told us the calamari appetizer was to die for and he was right! A lovely bottle of Cabernet accompanied the Filet and Strip which were both cooked absolutely perfectly with a beautiful seared crust on the outside and medium rare inside. All the while, the room started to slowly fill up. I had read in reviews that the wait staff was exceptional-it truly was. We shall return with friends and family!

    We were excited to do our Thanksgiving Dinner here while visiting Atlanta from Miami. We did our research and read up on the great reviews for The Americano and Conant. We would have been better off to pay same high price at a local restaurant. We were disappointed with the substandard food and the service seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. Place was busy and could have used more staff to cover a busy holiday. We will not be back. Boo Hoo!

    Always a great experience at the Americano! We checked out their winter chalet which has tasty drinks and yummy bites. Our family comes to the Americano often for some delicious meals!

    My first time at the Americano and it was amazing. There to celebrate a special friends birthday. All 8 of us loved the food and the restaurant itself. The atmosphere was electric and the decor is sexy and classy. Our sever Jasmine made our experience Top Notch! She was fantastic! Definitely will be coming back! Thank you
