Welcome to The Avenue.

An all-occasion steak tavern that glows with sizzle and warmth. Serving fine steaks and tavern fare to family and friends in Grandview's historic Bank Block Neighborhood. Serving Dinner Nightly.

Join us for Monday Wine Night - select bottles of wine at select prices - every Monday 4p-9p! Our happy hour is Monday-Friday 4p-6p in our bar.

    Party of six - service was excellent! Most everyone was happy with their food. My steak came out way over cooked. My husband also mentioned he didn't like his very much so that was disappointing. Otherwise everything was great! Love that private area with the curtain!

    As usual, a gratifying experience. Wonderful food and waitstaff. Fantastic cocktails and wine. Only slight downside from recent visit - despite having a very early (5:45pm) reservation, we were not seated until 6:20pm. That was a lot of standing around, but it was worth the wait. We’ll be back again this month!

    Everything was great except the drop off for Val valet and pick up. Had so much snow and ice next to the curb that it was difficult to get in the cars.

    Steak Frits are my favorite. They are always accomadating to customers requests. We enjoy our server, Yusef, and the new manager, Rachel. This is a restaurant to enjoy with a special person or a group of friends.

    Drink-wise, they make both an incredible old-fashioned and martini. The French onion soup was one of the best we’ve ever had. The fried green beans were okay, the cheese fondue was good, the side of asparagus was okay, and the creamed spinach was really good. The steaks were prepared exactly as ordered with good flavor. The sautéed branzino was just okay. The service was stellar! 10/10 for our server. He even apologized when he thought the main course was running late, but it wasn’t really much of a delay. The ambience was wonderful and we loved the swing jazz music. Definitely worth a visit!

    Our server Thor was probably the best server we have seen for quite some time. That service set the tone for a perfect evening

    This was my 4th time here. Service was great but the kitchen was off. Our apps were fabulous - the Oysters Rockefeller required re-orders and the fresh oysters were top tier. However, dinner was a different experience. The scallops were covered in salt while my ribeye didn’t have any discernible seasonings. The lobster tail was over cooked. I brought my steak home, seasoned it and had it for breakfast. Hopefully next time will be better

    First time going to this location as I usually go to the Dublin one. I’ve heard nothing but good things and that was the case! Great experience and will definitely be back again!
