With more than 25 years of experience on Glasgow’s dining scene, Battlefield Rest is a restaurant adored by locals. The food on offer at this Battlefield Road spot is sure to tickle your fancy, no matter how far you’ve travelled to get there! Choose from delectable dishes such as fresh Scottish mussels in a champagne and saffron cream, served with garlic bread; prosciutto served with oven-roasted figs, local honey, pecorino cheese and rocket; or slow-roasted ox cheek cannelloni topped with a red pepper ragu and Taleggio cheese.     We only had an hour to eat before moving in to watch football and the staff were excellent at keeping us to our schedule. Bruschetta were delicious, and unexpectedly big, and the Amatricana that came with the pork Milanese was delicious.

    Seven of us for lunch before Christmas . Service was superb . The Christmas menu was good and the food was beautiful . Everyone very happy with quality of the meals . Excellent value . So nice and relaxed . Beautiful ambience
